HIIT TIMER MOBILE APPLICATION
– REJUVENATING FUN JUST ONE TAP AWAY
Team Aquadsoft is pleased to submit this proposal to you. We thrive to bring perfection, innovation
and, thus, quality in all the products that we develop and design. We have worked hard to compete
with ourselves every day to constantly improve our methodology and skills.

It is our understanding that you seek to develop an Android and an iOS application, along with a
backend to manage content (video, pictures and text) and users, as the vital part of your
business.

Team Aquadsoft believes that we are highly qualified to assist and guide through this important
engagement.

Team Aquadsoft combines strategic thinking and emerging technologies to provide innovative
solutions that consistently break new ground.

OBJECTIVES & SCOPE OF WORK OF THE PROPOSED

SUITE OF APPS
The major objective of the app is to create an app that would let the users create a timer for their
training practices. There will be a freemium model for the app – the non-paying customers can create
as many timers as they wish but, once an interval timer is started, it may not be used again. For the
paying customers, upgrading to the full version will remove this restriction.

The major features will be:

 Templates for HIIT, Tabata and circuit training. A custom template will be there to create
every interval and the compound editor where you can combine many interval timers into
one.

 The app will speak the interval names so that the user can follow the workout without seeing
the screen at all. The app will provide prior warning of the upcoming interval. There will be
other alerts including beeps and bells, in addition to this.

 The app will let the user coordinate their music with their Tabata workout. Each interval can
have its own music assigned allowing you to match the intensity of one’s music to the
intensity of one’s HIIT workout.

 The app will run in the background allowing the user to either have their display off, or use
other apps while the HIIT timer is active.

 Large, full screen, color coded display that is easy to read from a distance. The display will
work in either landscape or portrait.

 The app will also allow the users to share the Tabata timers with friends.

There will also be an admin panel to control the users and update the content (videos, pictures, text
and links).

KEY FEATURES OF THE PROPOSED APPS

● Sleek User Interface for the front-end
○ Responsive
○ Look and Feel should be elegant
● Personalized User Experience
● Medium Content Management Capabilities
● Sharp GPS tracking Features
● Seamless Workflow
● Ability to scale up the platform

Resources Involved:
 Two Node.JS developers (Full-time)
 Two UI/UX designers (Full-time)
 One Android developer – Java (70%)
 One iOS developer – Swift (70%)
 One Project Manager (PM) (60%)
TIMELINE OF TASKS

End of 5th Business Day: Planning, requirement elicitation and resource allocation from the
client should be complete.
End of 15th Business Day: Design of the Android and iOS apps should be complete.
End of 45th Business Day: Development of the Android and iOS apps should be complete, with
all backend integrations, along with the development of the backend panel.
End of 50th Business Day: Testing to be complete and Final Deployment to production server.

TIME AND COST ESTIMATIONS

TASK TIME (Business Days) COST (USD)

Planning & Requirement Elicitation 5 200

Design of the app (applicable to 10 500

both Android and iOS apps) (Continuation of
Planning & R.E.)
Development of the Android app 30 1,100
(Parallel to backend
services & API
integration)
Development of the iOS app 30 1,400
(Parallel to backend
services & API
integration)
Backend services & API integration 30 700
(Parallel to Android and
iOS development)
Testing and Deployment to 5 100
Production Server
TOTAL 50 4,000

* Final Cost (including GST): USD 4,000 + 18% GST = USD 4,720/-

** We provide with this 3 (three) months of free maintenance, which starts from the day of deployment of the
application to the server.
***We also propose that any other change will be at very reasonable costs.
APPROACHES AND METHODOLOGY
We propose to use the Waterfall model for this development engagement.
Any phase in the development process begins only if the previous phase is complete, i.e., the phases
do not overlap. The outcome of one phase acts as the input for the next phase sequentially.
The sequential phases are: –

 Requirement Elicitation and analysis − All possible requirements of the system to be

developed are captured in this phase and documented in a requirement specification document.
 System Design − The requirement specifications from first phase are studied in this phase and
the system design is prepared. This system design helps in specifying hardware and system
requirements and helps in defining the overall architecture.
 Implementation − With inputs from the design team, the website is first developed in small
programs called modules, which are integrated in the next phase. Each module is developed
and tested for its functionality.
 Integration and Testing − All the modules developed in the implementation phase are
integrated into one system after testing of each module. Post integration, the entire system is
tested for any faults and issues.
 Deployment of website − Once the functional and non-functional testing is done, the product
is deployed in the customer environment, and then, released into the market.
 Maintenance − There are some issues which come up in the end-user environment. To fix
those issues, patches are released. Maintenance is done to deliver these changes in the end-user
environment.
All these phases are cascaded to each other in which progress is seen as flowing steadily downwards
through the phases. The next phase is started only after the defined set of goals is achieved for
previous phase and it is signed off from both parties.
In order to make our engagement a success, we should try to ensure the following −
 Requirements are very well documented, clear and fixed.
 Technology is understood and is not dynamic.
 There are no ambiguous requirements.
 Ample resources are available.
 The project has a definite time-period.

PAYMENT POLICY, PROCESS AND DETAILS

● Advance Payment upon signing the Contract: 30% of the entire project fees, as well as 30% of the
total GST on the services.
● 30% payment of the entire fees after completion of designs, as well as 30% of the total GST on the
services.
● Rest 40% payment of the entire fees after deployment to the Google Play Store/Apple App Store, as
well as rest 40% of the total GST on the services.
● These payment terms include free maintenance for 3 (three) months.

NOTES
● The above figures are approximate numbers only (cost may vary depending on the final requirement).
● Any 3rd party product or service other than those which are mentioned above (e.g. APIs, SDK) will be
procured by the client.
● The contract details will be shared (payment terms, scope of service, service related conditions etc.)
once the business proposal is accepted formally.
