description
The LAB 4500 MIL dehydrator is designed for The equipment cope with high realibility requirements
continuos duty and automatic operation to supply dry (high MTBF) and allows a long term preventive
air. maintenance with easy operation (high MTBM, low
MPT max, low MTTP).
The Drymatic patent to control the pressure as a
function of the flowrate is included in the equipment. A control module manages the engine-compressor
This dehydrator is usefull to pressurize waveguide driving signals and the drying sequencing signals.
and RF components in military radar application. The same module shows by a liquid crystal display
the following data:
A modular configuration allows the easy replacement
of all the functional groups. A built in test equipment - operating pressure on both the outlets

performance
The dehydrator supplies a total dry-air flow
of 4500 Nl/h distributed on two outlets : outlet 1 1950 Nl/h (at 30 kPa)
outlet 2 2250 Nl/h (at 40 kPa)
The operating pressure is adjustable up to 70 kPa,
and is factory setted on the following values : outlet 1 30 kPa ± 10%
with flowrate in the range (200, 1950) Nl/h
outlet 2 40 kPa ± 1 kPa
with flowrate in the range (200, 2550) Nl/h
In case of overpressure, the electronic supervisor indicates the failure and stops the compressor.
The air dew-point is better then -40 °C. The high humidity alarm threshold is fixed at -15 °C ± 5 °C. When such a
value is reached, an alarm signal is generated and the air flow toward the outlets is stopped by an electrovalve (the
water drainage is allowed by the reactivation tower).
The noise generated by the equipment is lower then horizontal distance 1m
60dBA with 30% of maximum flowrate vertical distance 1,2 m from the floor
in the following test conditions :
Reliability (MTBF) as per MIL-HDBK-217F : 49170 hours (G.F.; temp. est. 30°C)
Maintenance time as per MIL-STD-471
MTTR (Mean Time to Repair) : 27,64 min
MCT max (Maximum Corrective Maintenance Time) : 57,7 min
MTBM (Mean Time Between Maintenance) : 4000 operating hours
MPT max (Maximum Preventive Maintenance Time) : 13,2 min
MTTP (Mean Time To Prevent) : 8,50 min
The equipment illustrated are fully equipped versions. CIBRED SUD reserves the right to modify without notice characteristics and data supplied herein.
