Introduction
This document provides information for the Cambium Networks cnPilot Home Routers System Release 4.3.4.
Release 4.3.4 is a security release which includes the features and functionalities from 4.3 as well as several
important bug fixes that will be noted in Problems Corrected (System Release 4.3.4).

Note
Telnet service is disabled since System Release 4.3.1.

Managing Device via cnMaestro

cnPilot Home Routers can easily be managed/configured/upgraded using cnMaestro. The devices can be
onboarded to your cloud account using the unique device serial number available on the back label of the unit
or by using your Cambium-id and password. Devices can be pre-provisioned during the onboarding process
itself.

Note
Due to a newer flash memory layout used in 4.3 firmware, upgrades from older
versions to 4.3, and beyond, need to be done twice. This is automatically
detected and performed during upgrades initiated from cnMaestro.

Upgrade using cnPilot Home Router UI

Due to a newer flash memory layout used in 4.3 firmware, upgrades from older version to 4.3 and beyond
need to be done twice while upgrading from the UI of cnPilot Home Routers.

After the first time upgrade, the user will see a message “(Firmware Check Error. Please Upgrade Again!!) ”in
the login page of the device.

After the second upgrade, no such message will be seen and the device will be fully upgraded.

Note
To downgrade the device, just one time downgrade is needed.

Overview
The cnPilot Home Router with VoIP is a managed device (that yet has the ability to act as a standalone router
if desired). In addition to Wi-Fi, this product provides high quality voice calls as well as the optional ability to
power Cambium’s ePMP series subscriber module or the PMP450 series subscriber module by supporting
Cambium’s (Canopy) PoE. For voice calls, the product is fully compatible with the SIP industry standard and
is able to interoperate with many other SIP devices and software on the market.

New Features Supported in 4.3.4 Release

There are no new features introduced in 4.3.4 release, as this is a security release.

Enhancements in 4.3.4 Release

WPA2 Vulnerability
This firmware includes fixes for the WPA2-KRACK attacks. For more details, please refer
Security Advisory on Key Reinstallation Attacks(KRACK).

Problems Corrected (System Release 4.3.4)

This section lists the problems corrected in 4.3.4 release of cnPilot Home Router:

Tracking Description

RBN-277 Admin user login did not work for SAMBA. This issue was observed only on
R200/R201platforms.
The admin credentials are more secured now.

Restrict configuration download options.

The AWAITING_TIMEOUT value in the websocket has been increased from 5

Known issues (System Release 4.3.4)

This section lists the known issues and limitations in this release of cnPilot Home Router:

Tracking Description

RBN-192 Roku Streaming Stick, Atheros 9285, and Nest Thermostat are not able to
connect with 5 GHz SSID of R201.

RBN-222 SIP with IPv6 is not supported.

The user is not able to configure rate limit for more than 100 Mbps in WAN
RBN-323
interface using the GUI. This issue is observed only on R201 platform.
Binding on the port fails when single internet WAN interface is configured.
RBN-330
Port binding works only under Multi WAN configuration.
Per client Rate Limit is not honored as per QoS service profile.
RBN-334
The configured WMM parameters are not honored. This issue is observed
RBN-337
only on R190V/R190W platform.
RBN-338 Caller id is not working if ETSI FSK （Denmark） with PR Caller ID Method is
configured.
RBN-341 Issue in WAN connectivity is observed when Q-in-Q Multi-wan is configured
with same CVLANs and different SVLANs.

RBN-348 Rate limit feature is not working as expected in R200 and R201 devices.

RBN-358 The WDS feature is not working as expected in R200 and R201 devices.
