ASSESSMENT PLAN
NUMBER OF CREDITS: 7
SEMESTER: II
UQF LEVEL – 7B
LECTURER: MARWA, V
1.0 INTRODUCTION
This assessment plan has been prepared in Energy and Production Engineering
Department for Heat transfer Module. Assessment of this module is based on the
learning outcomes stipulated within the UQF curriculum reflecting on student’s ability to
show competences that involve application of knowledge and skills for his/her level.
The plan was to be used for semester II in 2019/2020 academic year. The assessment
is effectively done after the student has gained knowledge/ competence based on
training programs.

INTRODUCTION
This study guide gives a brief explanation on how the module Heat transfer will be
conducted throughout the semester
A. ORGANIZATIONAL COMPONENT:
The module will be conducted in a semester bearing the following essential sub
components
1. AIM OF SUBJECT
To introduce students the fundamental concepts of Heat transfer that will form basis for
more advanced displines in mechanical engineering filed
2. TREATMENT
The module will be conducted through lectures, tutorials, and field trips to provide
the opportunity for the learner to gain firsthand experience
Lectures shall be conducted to introduce principles of heat transfer. Tutorials shall
be conducted to develop and stimulate independent and team problem-solving
skills.
