MEASURES OF PROTECTION ARE STRICTLY OBSERVED.

X-ray equipment if not properly used may cause injury. Accordingly, the instructions
herein should be thoroughly read and understood before attempting to place this
equipment in operation. We will be glad to assist and cooperate in placing this
equipment in use.

Although this apparatus is built to the highest safety standards and incorporates a high
degree of protection against X-radiation other than the useful beam, no practical design
of equipment can provide complete protection, Nor can any practical design compel the
operator to take adequate precautions to prevent the possibility of any persons
carelessly unwisely, or unknowingly exposing themselves or others to X-radiation.

It is important that everyone working with X-radiation is properly trained and takes
adequate steps to insure protection against injury. It is also imperative that these
persons are fully acquainted with the recommendations of the international Commission
on Radiation Protection contained in Annals Number 26 of the ICRP, with the
recommendations of the National Council on Radiation Protection and Measurements, as
published in NCRP Reports, and with other applicable standards.

All persons using X-radiation equipment must be cognizant of the danger of excessive

3) Location power supply and the system Within 5m between power sypply and
the system
4) Cooling Environment
5) Apprepriate area for the installation
6) Location of auxiliary Device

3.3 Installation
Various cables and connecctors should be connected after system positioning and
basic assembly

Required Document and Tools for Installation

․ Instruction
․ System wiring Sch.
․ System Dimemsional schematic
․ A set of tools for installation
․ General-purpose Multimeter
․ Oscilloscope (if necessary)

Precaution on Installation
All work must be carried out with extal care not to be shocked by AC electricity or
electrostatic discharge.

Especially during technical service after system power OFF, pay special attention to
the main charge capacitor which is charge to DC 310V under normal operation.
Wait at least more than 1 minute for the capacitor to discharge.

Make sure that all protective ground wires are connected porperly before starting
the system after installation. This connection applies to all metallic covers which
may generate unexpexted contact voltage in case of a fault, They must be
connceted ot the protective ground wire.

means " Terminal for Connection of Equipment protective ground wire".

After installation, the protective ground wire must be tested with the test.

LISTEM Corporation - 11 -
MOBIX-1000

3.3.1 Installation Area

1) Secire enough space for normal system operation and placement.
2) Check floor condition before installation for better parking state.

☞ NOTE : Maximum body size 2055mm×1645mm

Minimum Space for Installation

3.4 Adjustment
Since this equipment is all calibrated and adjusted before delivery, compensates tube
voltage and current automatically within ±10% of input power fluctuation, it is
recommended that additional ajuustment not be made at the user site without prior
notice. Also, safety inspection should be performed regularly during use. System must
be calibrated and adjusted every time it is replaced. Make sure that all connections
must be ,checked before system adjustment.
Since this type is specially designed with integration of HV transfomer and x-ray
tube, non-invasive measuring instruments are required to measure tube voltahe
non-invasively. Or Connecting oscillocope or multimeter to the check point is possible
ot read and measure kVp,mA(between the TP2(+),TP9(+) -GND(-) of HV control
Board).Another way to measure tube current is check frequency between TP6 and TP3
on the Console Display Board. Refer chapter 5 Error and Troubleshooting.

☞ NOTE: All ground (Green with Orange stripe) must be connected

3.4.1 Power ON
Ensure that all cables and ground wires are connceted porperly before applying
power to the system. Blank dashes are displayed for about 10 seconds when the
system in ON. All initalizing tasks are done during this time.

☞ NOTE : Last setting is maintained when the system starts.

LISTEM Corporation - 13 -
MOBIX-1000

3.4.2 Pre-adjustment
Take the following steps using the various variable resistors before going to
adjustment,
1. Put the oscilloscope probes to test points TP3 and GND.
Adjust the frequency to 200kHz turning VR2. This frequency is main IGBT
inverting frequency(Actual frequency is 50kHz. 100kHz is measured form TL594)
2. Put the voltimeter porbes to test points TP1 and GND.
Adjust the voltage to 6.75VDC turning VR1. This value is tube overvoltage
protection level.
3. Put the voltimeter probes to test points TP8 and GND.
Adjust the voltage to 12VDC turning VR4. This value is tube overcurrent
portection level.
4. Put the oscilloscope probes to test points TP4 and GND. also to TP9 and GND.
Make an exposure and measure the frequency between TP4 and GND, voltage
between TP9 and GND.
Adjust the frequency to 2kHz turning VR5 and calibration tube mA data. Details
explanation is given later in Chapter 5 Calibration.

40-80kV : 30mA,20mA select

81-125kV : 20mA select

This message is the calibration value for 40kV chosen.

The 40kV should have a setting value
for 30mA, 20mA, so the "kV Data : 123" on LCD is the kV value for the setting
value 40kV and "30mA Data : 123" is 30mA value for 40kV.
As mentioned above, the value of 40-80kV should be calibratied at 20mA,
so " 20mA Data" is 20mA-calibrated value at 40kV.

LISTEM Corporation - 26 -
MOBIX-1000

First of all, the calibration at 20mA should be done.

2) Increase av by pressing CHEST SW and decrease kV by pressing SMALL SW
3) The mark "▶"is indicating 30mA Data, and now 20mA calibration at 40~80kV is
being done. ( if ▶ indicates 30mA Data, press P2 ). Increase mA by pressing
ABDOMEN SW and decrease mA by pressing MEDIUM SW.
4) Take X-ray
5) Check the wave and change Heating offset to make mA wave plane

After 5 seconds, if there is no error, kV,mAs will be on LCD1 and
"Anatomic Mode" will be on LCD 2.
In case an error shows up, ERROR message appears on kV indicator.
Press any keys if you want to continue.

2) Select kv/mAs with kV and mAs UP/DOWN SW. If it is necessary, select body
size and exposing parts and press SET SW to store exposure factors.

3) Make preparation and exposure with the set values. It some error occurs,
corresponding error message is displayed on the kV window.

NOTE
When operating the phantographic Arm, it shall unfasten the lock system always.
After the operation, it shall fasten and fix it
Arm should not operate while fastening it, otherwise it should unfasten to operate
it. When operating the lock while fastening it, it can bring about the abrasion and
prevent it from fixing.
