JOINT AFFIDAVIT OF ARREST

We, PCpl JEFFERSON T. AREGLADO and Pat DAN LIMUEL E.

TRINIDAD, Police Officers presently assigned at the Manila Police District
- Station 5, Philippine National Police, Ermita, Manila, after having been
duly sworn to in accordance with law, do hereby depose and state that:

On January 11, 2020, at around 11:30 in the evening, while we were

conducting our patrol along San Marcelino Street, we heard a woman
shouting, “Magnanakaw! Magnanakaw!” near the corner of San Marcelino
Street and Gonzales Street;

Upon reaching her location, she suddenly shouted, “Magnanakaw!

Magnanakaw! Habulin nyo” while pointing on the two men riding a
motorcycle;

We immediately chased the said two men on the motorcycle and we

were able to corner them near Paco Park;

When apprehended, the back-riding passenger was carrying a brown

shoulder bag and upon frisking him, we found a butterfly knife in his
possession;

In view thereof, and considering that the crime has just been
committed, we arrested the two suspects and informed them of the reason of
their arrest and of their constitutional rights;

Thereafter, the perpetrators were brought to the Manila Police District

- Station 5 where they were positively identified by the victim, Mariafe D.
Arellano, as the persons who took her belongings by force. The brown
shoulder bag in the possession of one of the suspects was also identified by
the victim to be her personal belonging;

From the PNP records, the one who took the victim’s belongings by
force was identified as JOSELITO M. BELARMINO and the one who was
driving the motorcycle was identified as ARMANDO C. CANUTO, who
were then photographed, booked and fingerprinted.
