Benazir Bhutto: search of correct natal chart

Benazir Bhutto is not the only celebrity about whom multiple

birth charts are claimed. I have confronted various references of
her birth details. The first one is Sunday, June 21, 1953 at 7:43pm
(4:30 East of GMT), Karachi. This June 21, 1953 yields
Sagittarius ascendant and Chitra-3 nakshatra, as per Lahiri
Ayanamsa. Aforesaid birth detail is endorsed by the writings and
write-ups of B.V. Raman, Cyrus T.F. Abayakoon, J.C. Luthra,
P.A. Patel, Samad Hussain Rizvi, Rafat Shaikh and many others.
On the other hand, there are some astrologers who either have
rectified the birth time or time zone, to arrive at Scorpio lagna. But it should be borne in mind that
Pakistan Standard Time (PST) was 4 hours 30 minute ahead of GMT from September 1, 1951 to
April 30, 1954. Before September 1, 1951, Pakistan and Indian Standard Time were identical. And
it is only from midnight of May 1, 1954, Government of Pakistan enforced time zone 5:00 east of
GMT, that is in practice to date.

Now there is another significant reference provided by K. N. Rao. He holds that Natwar Singh
drawn Benazir’s horoscope when she was staying in London and consulted him. K. N. Rao and his
students follow Benazir Bhutto’s birth details: June 23, 1953, 4:30pm Karachi as given by Natwar
Singh, that yields ascendant 24Libra25. But when we recast the chart we find 7*28’ Scorpio as
ascendant, instead of Libra. Why? Because either Natwar Singh or K. N. Rao’s students mistakenly
assumed Pakistan’s time zone as +5:30 GMT. Hence to arrive at 24*25’ Libra ascendant of
Benazir, as claimed by K. N. Rao, we have to take her birth time 3:30pm Karachi (with correct time
zone 4:30 East of GMT). Besides time zone confusion, another thing (though trivia) is that Benazir
herself used to wear yellow coloured stone (probably Topaz) not only in her index finger but also in
her neck. This selection and usage of stone may go in favour of Sagittarius lagna. But even I took
K.N. Rao’s Libra lagna for Benazir, seriously by correcting time zone.

Apart from discussed above horoscopes, there is another birth chart of Benazir Bhutto, though
somewhat maverick. It is June 21, 1952 (exact time unknown but it is afternoon) that gives Libra
ascendant and Taurus Moon. It may be possible but difficult to believe that 1952 is year of birth of
Benazir as her father Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto married Begum Nusrat Bhutto on September 8, 1951.
Secondly, I did not find any authentic source that attests this deviant date of birth. Hence paying
much attention to this claim without reliable source may be misleading.

But one thing is clear that most of the Scorpio rising charts associated to Benazir Bhutto, are result
of misunderstand about little known history of Pakistan Standard Time. However, it coincidently
testifies violent death; on account of Scorpio lagna lord Mars being in 8th. But when you compare
rest of the life events with any Scorpio rising chart, you would conclude against it.

Now, we have left with two claims: 21-June-1953 Sagittarius Ascendant and 23-June-1953 Libra
Ascendant. There are many ways to reach at correct chart. Most of the people rely on the chart that
can easily justify her assassination. But in my humble opinion, comparing significant life events
with vimshottari dasha may prove an acid test. I have collected over two dozen important events in
the life of Benazir Bhutto and match them with corresponding Maha, Antar and Pratyantar Dashas
running at that time.
