    Stainless Steel Tubing


    Recommended Tubing for use with Excelock Fittings:
    When selecting stainless steel tubing for use with Excelock tube fittings, either BS 3605 or ASTM A269 tube where diametrical
    tolerances are within k005" and hardness does not exceed 180HV/Rockwell B90 will be satisfactory. Tubing should be free from
    scratches and suitable for bending.

    Recommended Maximum Working Pressures:


    The tables below show the recommended maximum working pressures for stainless steel tubes, annealed 304 or 316 to
    ASTM A269 are equivalent in pounds per square inch, based on ultimate tensile strength 75,000 p.s.i., within temperature
    range of -200 to 100oF, with a factor of safety 4.1.
