Introduction

The article related to the Issues and Challenges from employees’ and employers’ perspective in

career management process is career and professional development that has been written by

Aleksandra Peplinska and Mariusz Lipowski. Career management is cognizant arranging of one's

exercises and commitment in the occupations one embraces over a mind-blowing span for better

satisfaction, development, and monetary solidness Limit setting and experiencing issues

discussing your requirements with collaborators or administrators. Changes in work obligations

or an advancement that removes you from the work you love doing. [ CITATION Ale11 \l 1033 ]

Challenges

 Challenges with associates and bosses

 Organization revamping and the pressure that accompanies vulnerability and change

 Occupation misfortune and the passionate effect it can have on your certainty and self-

esteem.

 Getting ready for an exhibition survey or requesting a raise

 Correspondence issues with others

 Assessing occupations and employment bids

 Criticism and having somebody to go about like a secret sounding board to assist you

with creating abilities and create arrangements

3
Plan

 Distinguish your vision, values, interests, aptitudes, characteristics, and capacities. It

will enable you to choose what you need from your next vocation move.

 Investigate your alternatives and accumulate data about them. What decisions do you

have? What does every one include? Are there different alternatives you haven't

considered?

 Assess your vocation alternatives. Choose which ones are best for you at this phase of

your life. Take a gander at the ups and downs of every choice. Consider the difficulties

you may face and how you can deal with them.

 Build up an arrangement to make your alternatives a reality. Recognize the present

moment and long haul steps that you have to take. Make cutoff times for the fulfillment

of each progression. Distinguish things you can do to remain propelled. At that point,

make the strides you've recognized.

 Use the profession wanting to assume responsibility for the adjustments throughout

your life and work

In the above scenario, challenges are both the ways as in employee has to show the eagerness to

learn and performance of duty to step into the new bigger role. For that he needs to upgrade the

skills & knowledge required on set parameters. Failing to do so will make him incompetent and

thus result in dissatisfaction. [ CITATION Yeh00 \l 1033 ]

For career management of employee, employer has to design & assess the skill set required and

then choose the best employee suitable for the higher role. In this sometime the challenge faced

is that lack of interest shown by employee to upgrade his skills for the new role and thus

employer has dissatisfaction. [ CITATION Jen08 \l 1033 ] Also choosing the right employee for

right job is very tough process and needs justification from Management.

While these challenges are there due to undefined roles, responsibilities and career path For

better learning and development to overcome these challenges, first thing is to prepare the career

progression path for each employee and criteria’s defined for each progressive steps along with

proper merit based assessment. [ CITATION Jan00 \l 1033 ]

Conclusion

It will bring clarity to employee on how career will be progressed and how he will be assessed

along with parameters at each stage in the career path. This will result in more demand to learn

on various skills from employee itself and employer can accordingly plan and execute the

training. This is a win-win situation as employer get the skilled employee while employee gets

up gradation on the skills.
