It is critical that surveyors and those who use graphical and spatial data are aware of the

methods and procedures used to modify scientific calculations for the purpose of identify
specific locations. Land survey consists of geometrical measurements on the earth's surface.
Because all calculations to some extent, are considered to be to a certain degree inaccurate, it
is important for the investigation of mistakes to be clearly acknowledged and all surveying
errors be explicitly recognized. When that has been completed, the surveyor will attempt to
account for these measurement errors, which are inevitable in land surveying as there as a lot
of factors to be considered while making an attempt to measure a piece of land. The process of
this compensation of errors is termed as survey adjustment.
Adjustment may also be carried out graphically for difficult surveys or crossings in a
narrow piece of land. The site and thus the stations' coordinates are adjusted directly with this
balancing method. Thus, the adjustment quantity at any station is proportional to the distance
from the initial station.
