INTRODUCTION
The following list has been compiled to indicate relay and contactor nomenclature covering most applications. It is
for guidance purposes only and does not necessarily restrict the application to the systems quoted. It may be
necessary to vary the application to suit special requirements. If this is done, care should be taken to ensure that
the general function of the particular relay etc. complies with this data.
Auxiliaries of relays and contactors are normally given the suffix A, B, C etc. and are not listed below. e.g. Relay 1A
is an auxiliary of contactor 1 and operates in a similar manner.
Relays bearing the same nomenclature as limit and slowdown switch contacts are controlled directly by these
contacts.
