HCIE-Carrier IP Exam Outline

Certificate Summary
HCIE-Carrier IP certification is positioned to validate the in-depth knowledge about IP routing
protocols, VPN advanced features and applications, and WAN access technologies in the operation
network, and the capabilities for large-scale network planning, maintaining, and troubleshooting for
carriers.

HCIE-Carrier IP certification curriculum includes but is not limited to advanced features of routing
protocols, MPLS VPN features, SR and EVPN features, MPLS TE features, multicast advanced
features, high reliability technologies, QoS technologies, BRAS user access, IP MAN, IP backbone
network, and mobile bearer network architecture.

With an HCIE-Carrier IP certification, you demonstrate the systematic understanding and good
command of the in-depth principles, advanced features, and applications of each protocol, the
knowledge of carrier’s network architecture and services, network and technology evolution direction,
and the capability of independently maintaining typical network of carriers.

With engineers who are HCIE-Carrier IP certificated, enterprises are able to maintain large-scale IP
networks, typical MAN and backbone networks of carriers, plan and design network and services,
and plan network and technology evolution.

Prerequisites
For those who are ready to get the HCIE Carrier Certification.
