Michael Schumacher
Michael Schumacher was born in 1969 in

Germany. He was a famous ‘Formula One’
racing driver. When he was six years old, he
invented a karting to play with his friends.
Michael’s father, Rolf, was a business man. He
bought a real karting when Michael was
fourteen years old.
Michael’s mother, Elizabeth, was a housewife.

She was from England. They supported Michael with his car competitions. When Michael
was twenty-two years old, he signed a contract with the ‘Jordan Grand Prix’ racing team
to compete in the prestigious ‘Formula One’ championship. He won it seven times. After
fifteen years of racing, he retired for a short time.
In 2013, Michael had an accident. He was skiing in Meribel, France. He suffered a

massive head injury resulting in paralysis and memory loss. At present, he is still in a
hospital fighting for his life.
