1.0 PURPOSE

To describe the system for identification of training needs, providing the training
as identified and maintenance of training records.

To describe the system for suitable work environment and provide


infrastructure.

To describe system for competency on the basis of apropriate education, training


skill and experience.
2.0 SCOPE

Cover all personnel performing work affecting Product Quality and suitable work
environment throughout the organisation.

3.0 RESPONSIBILITY

3.1 Identification of Training Needs:

Skill Matrix will be updated in the system as per the Master list of the employees.
Based on the skill matrix, training calendar will be prepared.

3.2 Providing Training

Based on the training Calendar, training will be organised by HRD.

3.3 Training Records

3.3.1 Off the job training : Maintained by HRD in the computer


3.3.2 On the job training : Maintained by HRD in the computer
(Skill Record)

4.0 PROCEDURE DETAILS

TRAINING NEED IDENTIFICATION


(1) Training needs are identified once in a year at the beginning of each calendar
year
 Specific need of Company
 Change of procedure / technology
 Change of responsibility
 Transfer of an individual to new assignment
 New recruitment
 Senior officers orders
 Non conformities during routine Inspection
 Non conformities during weekly meeting
 Non conformities during half yearly Inspection/Internal audit
 Non conformities during any external Inspection/Audit
 Customer’s complaints/observations/suggestions/Feedback
 Management review and corrective action

2. Planning of the training is recorded in Yearly Training calendar


3. Selection of Faculty is done and date and time of training on the basis of
availability of Faculty and trainees is planned
4. If the requisite facilities are not available within Esskay, services of the externally
qualified faculties may also be utilized.
5. On time to time, training requirements are generated on the order of senior
officers or any specific need based than such training planning are also been
recorded in annual training calendar.
6. Circular is issued to all trainees regarding the training

TRAINING EXECUTION:

4.1 PROVIDING TRAINING


4.1.1 On the Job Training:
Whenever training needs are identified, on the job training will be given and is
the responsibility of the HRD for providing the training, updating and maintaining
the training records in the system which is to be maintained by HRD in the
computer as per Master list of employees.

4.1.2 Off the Job Training


HRD Manager prepares a training calendar based on the skill matrix. The training
is provided through in-house or outside program. If a program is not done as per
the training calendar it will be rescheduled.

1 All the trainees must be present at planned date and time at the planned venue
for training.
2 Qualified and experienced trainers provide training on the subject to all trainees.
3 Records of presence of training are maintained in the attendance sheet. If training
is provided externally than attendance sheet is not required to fill.
4 Individual Training records are also maintained.

4.2 TRAINING PROGRAM NOT COVERED BY THE TRAINING CALENDAR:


4.2.1 Seminar and workshops conducted by external agencies, which are announced
from time to time, will not be the part of the training calendar. If found useful,
suitable persons will be deputed for the appropriate program.

4.2.2 Training program to meet organizational exigencies as required will be


organized. Example. ISO 9001 programme. Such programme may be included in
the training needs of personnel.

4.2.3 For personnel recruited for any specific position, training is organised by the
Department Heads.
4.2.4 All new recruits to the company will be provided with information on company’s
Quality Policy/Objective and ISO 9001 requirement as a part of training program.

EFFECTIVENESS OF TRAINING:
The Effectiveness of the training will be monitored by the CHIEF
EXECUTIVE/DEPARTMENTAL HEAD after three month of the training
programmed by any one of the following methods:
a. Conducting Test
b. By Interview
c. Based on his performance
