1. What is the general atmosphere of the classroom like? What elements in the classroom help

to create the atmosphere you have described? The atmosphere of this room is friendly and cozy. I

say it is friendly because of the nice teacher and kids. I say it is cozy because of the different

rugs in the classroom and the comfy chair in the corner of the reading area.

2. How do you feel about the teacher? Why? I feel the teacher in the class is welcoming and

helpful. She is friendly because she smiles a lot and she is helpful because she goes to each

student after each lesson to make sure everyone understands.

3. How do you feel about the other children in your class? Why? I feel like most of the children

are nice and respect the teacher but then other children have a harder time listening. The children

are nice to the teacher and respect her when they do as told right away and rise there hand. On

the other hand, the children that don’t listen as well talk a lot and do not raise their hand to talk.

4. How easy is it to follow the routine of the class? Explain. How comfortable does the routine

feel to you? Explain. It is very easy to follow the rules and routine of the class. All produces are

written on the bored and the teacher will repeat herself in case we didn’t get it the first time. No
one is left behind. The routine is the same every day except for specials are different every day. I

like the routine, I always know what’s coming next and nothing unexpected happens. If there

ever are changes in the routine the teacher will be sure to let the children know.

5. How emotionally safe do you feel in your class? Explain. I feel very safe emotional. I know

that the teacher views all of us as equal and will protect the children when needed.

6. How well do you know & understand the rules of the class? Explain. The rules of the room

are posted on the wall and the teacher will repeat the rules if needed at the time. I would say I

know the rules very well.

7. How does the teacher enforce the rules? (Describe the authority style used. Support with

examples) The rules are enforced with a poster in the middle of the wall. The rules are also said

by the teacher if at the time is needed.

8. How "ok" is it to be different? (How accepting is the teacher of children who are different

from the norm?) Explain. It is 100% ok to be different. The teacher doesn’t care about your

religious beliefs, color, size, or gender. She treats all students equal and wants to help everyone

learn.

9. Which does the teacher like best, boys or girls? Explain. Just like the last question, she treats

all students equally. Does not matter if you are a boy or a girl. the teacher just wants to help

everyone learn.

10. What is it like to "learn" in your class? Consider such things as the kinds of learning

activities; how meaningful they are to you; what happens if you make mistakes or if you need

help; etc. Learning in the class is fun and exciting. The teacher try’s hard to make each lesson
fun and educational. The teacher does not want you to be afraid to ask for help, even if you make

a mistake. I feel comfortable asking my teacher anything.

11. What changes would you want the teacher to make in order for the classroom to become a

better place to learn in? I would want the teacher to give us more opportunities to use technology

in the classroom.
