1. Introduction
o My self is vikram Tambe. Working as Deputy General Manager in a
Multinational Organisation named John Cockerill.
o I am handling the project business in Industry Automation segment.
o I am travelling every day to office by self-driven car. And having lots of habits
developed with in me attributed to my routines and surrounding.
o Under this Exercise I tried to identify some of the habits I want to change
and tried to monitor the efforts throughout the past 3 months.
o Some of the habits I had already mark as my new year’s resolution. Few
have been added in the month of February .
o Same data has been used for the MBA exercise.
o All the data has been recorded on daily basis. Except during the lockdown
period.

3. Data Collection
For task A I decided to check the call register in mobile daily at 9 o’clock. If I
missed to make the call back to a person in last 24 hrs or doesn’t respond with
return sms it will be treated as defect. Same will be recorded.
For task B I kept it even based. After reaching to office I will recollect if I have done
limit crossing in last 24 hours. Each limit cross shall be treated as defect.
For task C I have joined the gym since 1st December 2019. Every day is monitor.
During lockdown as the gym got closed I started working at home. An application
on mobile called as SSG was downloaded.
Daily target of 8000 steps was kept which was equivalent to 6 kilo meter walk.
For task A I have cautiously following up my efforts. There are some faults where
I have not return the calls but the frequency has been reduced significantly. After
lockdown there is not a single event happened where I have not answered the calls
or not returned the calls. This is may be due to reduced incoming calls and very
calm at home. As this data is not sufficient I didn’t choose for my exercise.
For task B I tried to collect data for 1 or 2 weeks in February but due to various
reasons I could not drive every day to office and hence there was no consistency
in data collection. Whereas after March 12th everything has come to a standstill.
For task C I have daily data records through the wonderful application loaded on
my android phone. Step Set Go.
This app gives all required data till date. I tabulate it in excel for my further analysis.
Fortunately I had travelled to my native place in Nashik before lock down. I had
enough space around my house to walk every evening.
Every day I did this exercise around my house. This has also help me to reduce
the weight. I do not have weight data but with the help of loosed pants on waist I
can make out I have reduced some weight.

4. Defect analysis.
4.1. Steps
63 readings were recorded between 14th feb to 15th april.
The mean step was 7350 but I had kept a target above the mean level which was 8000
steps per day.
As per the records I have made defects 24 times. Against my set target of 8000 steps
As per 3 sigma there is no defect made for entire time span. This readings are with in 3
sigma.
As per 2 sigma 4 defects have been made during these 63 readings.
As per 1 sigma 10 defects have been made during this period.
4.2. Distance
63 readings were recorded between 14th feb to 15th april.
The mean distance travel was 5.4 k.m.but I had kept a target above the mean level
which was 5 k.m. per day.
As per the records I have made total 24 defects Against my set target of 5 k.m.
As per 3 sigma there is no defect made for entire time span. This readings are within 3
sigma.
As per 2 sigma 4 defects have been made during these 63 readings.
As per 1 sigma 12 defects have been made during this period.

4.3. Calories
63 readings were recorded between 14th feb to 15th april.
The mean Clories consumed was 297 Kcal. but I had kept a target above the mean
level which was 300 Kcal per day.
As per the records I have made total 19 defects Against my set target of 300Kcal
As per 3 sigma there is no defect made for entire time span. This readings are within 3
sigma.
As per 2 sigma 4 defects have been made during these 63 readings.
As per 1 sigma 12 defects have been made during this period.

5. Conclusions
I have to put conscious efforts to reduce the defects. Whereas the effect of the
continuous efforts of the daily walking I feel that I have lost some of the body weight.
There is no measurement device available with me but the loosening pants at waist
indicates the same.
Conscious efforts can be put by measuring the waist
