    Task-based learning is an instructional method that uses tasks as the core unit of planning and instruction. A task is an activity where students use the target language for a communicative purpose. There are six types of tasks: listing, ordering/sorting, comparing, problem-solving, sharing experiences, and creative tasks. The task-based learning framework involves introducing a topic and task, having students complete the task through planning and reporting, and then analyzing and practicing the language used in the task.
