General advice: Show this safety data sheet to the doctor in attendance
Inhalation: Move to fresh air. If symptoms persist, call a physician.
Skin contact: Wash off immediately with soap and plenty of water removing all contaminated
clothes and shoes. Obtain medical attention.
Eye contact: Rinse immediately with plenty of water, for at least 15 minutes. If symptoms persist seek
medical attention.
Ingestion: Rinse out mouth and drink lots of water. Seek medical attention if stomach discomfort
occurs
Protection of first-aiders: Wear impervious gloves and tightly fitting safety goggles. Avoid contact with skin and
eyes.
Notes to physician: Oxygen, if needed. Avoid gastric lavage.
5. FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES
Personal precautions: Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wear impervious gloves and tightly fitting safety
goggles.
Environmental precautions: Non- hazardous. Dilute with copious quantities of water
Methods for cleaning up: Soak up with inert absorbent material (e.g. sand, universal binder, sawdust).
Take up mechanically and collect in suitable container for disposal.
Local effects: Irritating to eyes and skin. Risk of serious damage to eyes. Inhalation of mist causes
irritation of respiratory system.
Major effects of exposure
Inhalation: Inhalation of vapour is irritating to the respiratory system, may cause throat pain and cough.
Inhalation of vapour in high concentration may cause shortness of breath (lung oedema).
Chronic exposure may cause dermatitis, gastrointestinal disturbance, coughing.
Skin contact: May cause skin irritation. Prolonged skin contact may produce dermatitis.
Eye contact: Severe eye irritation. Risk of serious damage to eyes. Liquid causes severe
inflammation of conjunctiva and may cause severe damage of the cornea.
Ingestion: Ingestion may cause gastrointestinal irritation, nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea. May
cause stomach perforation.
Further information: As an important metabolite in man, animals and plants, it is naturally formed and
metabolised.
Additional ecological information: Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system. Avoid subsoil penetration.
Product: Disposal together with normal waste is not allowed. Special disposal required according to
local regulations. Do not let product enter drains. Contact waste disposal services.
Packaging: Empty contaminated packaging thoroughly. They can be recycled after thorough and
proper cleaning. Packaging that cannot be cleaned are to be disposed of in the same
manner as the product.
No waste code according to the European Waste Catalogue can be assigned for this product, as the intended use
dictates the assignment. The waste code is established in consultation with the regional waste disposer.
