 Market opened on a positive note with +154pts and added an overall sum of 497pts. Anticipated profit booking brought the Index down to +209pts by the end of session
(unadjusted). Banks, Steel, Chemical and Fertilizer sectors saw profit booking before last day of the trading week. Among E&P companies, PPL sustained selling pressure
amid high volumes. Power sector led the volumes with 93.7M shares, followed by Cement (60.7M) and Technology (60.2M). Among scrips, PAEL topped the volumes with
26.2M shares, followed by MLCF (26.1M) and BOP (23.4M).
 The Index closed at 38,836pts as against 38,627pts showing an increase 209pts (+0.5% DoD). Sectors contributing to the performance include Cement (+62pts), Power
(+59pts), E&P (+49pts), O&GMCs (+25pts), Insurance (+23pts).
 Volumes increased from 394.3mn shares to 508.3mn shares (+29% DoD). Average traded value also increased by 30% to reach US$ 126.3mn as against US$ 97.1mn.
 Stocks that contributed significantly to the volumes include PAEL, MLCF, BOP, FFL and PRL, which formed 35% of total volumes.
 Stocks that contributed positively to the index include HUBC (+32pts), LUCK (+28pts), KEL (+19pts), PPL (+19pts) and POL (+15pts). Stocks that contributed negatively
include HBL (-35pts), FFC (-20pts), MEBL (-11pts), FFBL (-11pts), and PAKT (-9pts)
