• All data files that were previously stored in C:\Program Files


have been moved

• For Windows XP, the default location for user data files is now
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Caterpillar\Electronic
Technician

• For Windows VISTA, the default location is now


C:\Users\Public\Caterpillar\Electronic Technician

• The service tool will check for data files in C:\Program Files. If
files are found, the service tool will automatically move them to
the new location

STW 2008A, SIS 2008A, and Cat ET 2008B were the final versions of software
supported under Windows 2000 operating system

Discontinuation of Windows Terminal Server® Support (for Network SIS)

Server

capability to enable/disable the Part
Pricing, Availability and Ordering
feature from the SIS User Administration
screen by selecting “ON” or “OFF”, and
clicking the “Update” button. The
default setting for this functionality is
“OFF”.

NEXG5055, NEXG5068, or NEXG5059

Number to display in the search field when Flash File Search is
launched

• If Cat ET is not connected, the search field will be blank

• If Cat ET is connected but cannot find a Product ID or Engine
