JIMENA SHARES SEPHARDIC CULTURE WITH CLUB FED


JIMENA, which stands for Jews Indigenous to the Middle East and Lisa Rauchwerger
North Africa, seeks recognition of the nearly one million Jews Artist, writer and chef
indigenous to the Middle East and North Africa, who were displaced www.lisarauchwerger.com
from their country of origin in the 20th century. JIMENA is dedicated
to the preservation of Mizrahi and Sephardi culture and history and
fulfills its mission through an active speakers bureau, oral history
project and engaging cultural outreach activities. For more

LOCAL CHEF CONNECTS ART AND JUDAISM


Lisa Rauchwerger is an artist, writer and chef, specializing in Judaic
papercuts, paper sculpture illustration, ketubot, graphics and
calligraphy. She is the author and illustrator of the best-selling
interactive family cookbook, Chocolate Chip Challah and Other
Twists on the Jewish Holiday Table, and its companion activity books.
A Bay Area native, Lisa has just completed culinary school and is
embarking on a new career as a chef, a related yet different art
medium. Lisa is now discovering new ways to create beautiful Cutting Raffle prizes:
