Part I: The Fundamentals of the World

I. Questions on the World Itself

What is this invented world called?

- Temporary name - Pelara

What kind of world is this?

- It is styled in an antediluvian (no future flood) bronze to iron age world

where magic used to be prevalent until an ancient elven empire used
too much arcana in an attempt to make their race immortal and nearly
wiped out all civilized life on the planet.

Is it Earth, an Earth-like world, an alternate history Earth a completely alien

planet?

- It is an earth like world, a world where megafauna and megaflora still

exist to a minor degree and magical creatures (rare) exist in certain
areas where magical energy lies dormant,

If this planet is not Earth, how does it differ physically from Earth? -- is it of
comparable size and composition or quite different?

- It is double the size of earth, instead of 7 (6 habitable) continents, this

world has 16 (15 habitable) continents.

Comparable density, gravity, ratio of land to water, atmosphere, etc.?

- Yes, almost identical, albeit the climate is much milder with less
deserts and a bit more dense forests.

Are there any satellites, rings, unsuspected alien satellites or the like?

- None

How many suns are there?

- Only 1, which the Terrans have named Igna Sol

How many other planets in the system?

- Unknown total as the denizens are still understanding basic astronomy,

but 2 planets are visible at times of the year.
Are there spectacular constellations, comets, nebulae or other astronomical
phenomena visible at night or even by day?

- Cosmology will be worked later on

IJ. Questions on Geology & Climate

Describe the climate this society deals with. How severe are their seasons?

- The climate here in this planet is much milder than Earth on the
average, however, since there are 4 months per season instead of
Earth’s 3, the winters and spring rains can leave many areas frozen or
flooded across the world.

What kinds of natural disasters has this society gotten used to?

- Slightly longer winters, summers, and rainy seasons with more

typhoons in coastal areas where the winds blow.

If there is more than one moon or sun, how does this affect winds, tides, and
weather generally?

- One sun but 2 moons, there’s no direct effect as the 2 moons balance
each other out. The night sky is a bit brighter with the stars and moons.

Are the axial tilt and orbit comparable to those of Earth -- i.e., does the world
have similar seasons and length of year as Earth?

- Yes, the Terrans have so far computed the calendar at 16 months of 32

days, and 512 days a year at 26hrs a day.

How old is the planet and its parent star?

- Not known
IIJ. Questions on Ecology: Natural Resources, Flora,
Fauna & Sophonts – ANGREN

Natural Resources

What is this region's most abundant resource?

- Angreni Rice, Angren is one of the few locations in the known world
where rice grows easily and in abundance. This has made Angren
wealthy due to the huge demand from Terrans spread across various
territories who miss one of Old Earth’s most staple crops.

What is its most valuable resource?

- Angren lumber which thrives in the swamps and woods of Angren.

Cedars, willowsm sycamores, and swamp pines that grow in the region
are rot and insect resistant, perfect for the climate.

What resource is it most lacking?

- Angren lacks tin which it needs to make its high value bronzeware and
weapons, it has to trade for tin from Morgawr, Battania, and overseas.

Which natural resources, if any, have been depleted over time?

- None have been depleted, Angren copper and iron mines have only
been surface mined so far as the deposits are vast, but tunnel networks
are already being built and reinforced.

Is there usually enough food and water for the population?

- Angren is fully self sufficient and trades its excess rice for other types
of grains and preserved foodstuffs.

How has the location and availability of natural resources affected

relationships between peoples? -- are there conflicts over limited resources or
active, peaceful trade?

- Within Angren it is generally peaceful, but there are quarrels and minor
skirmishes between and among local lords for better farmland and
access to stone quarry sites and ore deposits. These private wars are
subtly encouraged as this keeps the rest of the Duchy well trained and
alert.

What water resources available, and for what uses are they put?
- The Yaruga and Guda river are the main trade rivers that also flood in
certain areas of Angren, inundating them with silt and soil nutrients that
allow the riverside rice paddies to recover along with crop rotations.
Smaller rivers are also used to power mills which divert some water
