1. What do you think is the importance of instructional materials?

Instructional material is important to the teaching and learning process specially

for teachers. It serves as our second teacher as we go along with our lesson.

Instructional materials support the need for better understanding of the child by making

your lesson more realistic and tangible. Our way of discussion becomes more lively

because we support it with instructional materials. These materials helps us to explain

and presents ideas to make our students better undestand our lesson.

For learners, instructional materials are second teachers. It helps them

undestand by providing clearer, accurate and more interesting tool for learning. For

example, a story would not be so interesting to discuss if the students would be listening

only from his/her teacher. We need graphic arts, pictures, videos and the like that will

support our stories and discussions. In this way, we gain the child’s interest to the

lesson. As he became intersted to the lesson, its the time that he focus on the content

and may be the result of much good understanding.

2. Does the instructional materials support the curriculum?

Defenitely yes, it is suppose to be supporting the curriculum but in the case of our country, it is

not well equipped with well organuized instructional materials to support our lesson. Especially printed

materials like books. Schools from far flung areas are not equipped with multi media devices like tv,

internet, and the likes that may useful to the learning of the children. Books are not updated and old

and do not cater to the needs of the students. Most oftenly none or lacking. These problems would like
be the hindrance to the development of the curriculum and woukd result to the poor implementation of

the curriculum.

3. What do you think is the effect of the instructional materials?

It is clear that if we have an organize, clear and adequate instructional materials, we can

achieve a good learning environment and learning results of the students. It can be off help to

those with difficulties in learning especially in understanding terms and concepts.

For the teacher, it would mean a better teaching experience if you see that your

students are learning. Less work and better output from the children will be achieved by the

class.
