(video game)
S.C.A.R.S. (standing for Super Computer Animal Racing Simulator,
S.C.A.R.S.
although unmentioned) is a racing video game developed by Vivid
Image and published by Ubi Soft for PlayStation, Nintendo 64, and
Microsoft Windows.

Reception
IGN rated the PS1 version in 1998, saying (out of 10) 8.0 for
presentation, 9.0 for graphics, 8.0 for sound, 7.0 for gameplay, 6.0 for
lasting appeal, and an overall score of 6.5 out of 10.[1] Developer(s) Vivid Image

Next Generation reviewed the PlayStation version of the game, rating

it two stars out of five, and stated that "For all its faults, S.C.A.R.S.
Nintendo 64,
isn't terrible, and it is one of the few PlayStation games to allow four

players to race in 3D on a split screen. If you have a Multitap, this is
almost a worthy purchase. Without a Multitap, it's a colorful racer, but Release PlayStation

Next Generation reviewed the Nintendo 64 version of the game, EU: September
rating it three stars out of five, and stated that "One of the best of the 1998
Mario Kart clones, S.C.A.R.S. does nearly everything right, Microsoft
surpassing both the graphics and the control of the PlayStation Windows
version. The game is challenging and addicting without ever NA: 30 November
annoying the player to the point of frustration."[3] 1998
Nintendo 64
The Sports Gaming Network reviewed the game in 1999, rating it (out NA: 4 December
of 100) the Graphics 84, Sound 58, Interface 72, Gameplay 80, 1998
Difficulty 88, and overall, 76. It claimed that the graphics were sharp EU: January 1999
and colourful, the sound being boring and 'dead', the gameplay being
somewhat eclectic with future setting and weaponry and cartoon-ish Genre(s) Racing

Computer & Video Games rated the Windows version in 2001, giving
it an overall score of 4.9 out of 10, claiming that the weapons in the game are cool but a bit annoying.[5]
