DESCRIPTION:
This course appreciates and interprets literary compositions to develop their interest in the value of nationality in literature.
This also takes an approach that anyone can benefit from understanding and applying lessons learned from most of the literary works. This This
programmed to connect individuals with life truth ideas in a society.

PROGRAM OUTCOME:
• Develop and strengthen worthwhile values through Philippine literary works.
COURSE OUTCOME/OBJECTIVES:
• Define the meaning of Literature and its significance in our everyday life;
• Classify various types of Philippine literature, elements, and techniques in relation to the particular historical conditions that had produced them;
• Trace the historical transition of Philippine Literature from Pre-Spanish Period up to present;
• Explain the significant features of the various literary pieces from different periods;
• Actively participate in all activities from group discussions to portrayal of plays and drama;
• Inculcate value, awareness of and appreciation for a Filipino literary legacy;
• Participate in a stage play to give life to a certain literary genres.

COURSE POLICIES:
1. A sudent will be dropped from the class if he or her absences exceeded 20% of the total class hours.
2. Six incidences of tardiness will be equivalent to one absence.
3. Use of any gadget in the class is prohibited unless required by the instructor.
4. Submission of written outputs should only be made on or before the deadine.
5. Academic dishonesty like cheating in any examination, plagiarism and the like will be penalized in the SIBTECH Student Handbook.
