INTRODUCTION
Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (KINFRA) is a statutory body formed by the Government of
Kerala in 1993, by an act of State Legislature for facilitating the development of industrial infrastructure in the State.
KINFRA has played a pioneer role in developing industrial infrastructure in the State of Kerala. KINFRA has a very
successful track record in setting up 22 industrial parks across Kerala for facilitating development of the industry in
the State.

A convention and exhibition centre is a large building that is designed to hold conventions, where individuals and
group gathers to promote and share common interests. It is designed for the purpose of conduction meetings ,
events, seminar etc. There comes guests from local, national, international markets.

AIM
KINFRA envisions this IECC project, on completion, to be world class in architecture, layout, interior design, acoustics,
visual effects, general ambiance etc. with state of the art facilities, making the IECC an attractive destination for
public gatherings/congregations, meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions (MICE), Industrial promotions,
art and craft, trade fairs, etc. IECC Kochi is visualized to be the best (SMART) in its class with all modern facilities.

OBJECTIIVE
 KINFRA on behalf of Government of Kerala (GoK) proposes to develop an International Exhibition cum
Convention Centre (IECC) at Kochi
 for carrying out trade promotion and related activities in the state of Kerala.
 The project is envisaged to be a destination for
1. Public gatherings
2. congregations,
3. Meetings,
4. Incentives,
5. Conventions and Exhibitions (MICE),
6. Industrial promotions,
7. Art & Crafts,
8. Trade Fairs,
9. conferences etc

SCOPE

 Situated in the most densly populated and largest industrial area of kerala to create a platform for
performing their events and programs.
 the entire lay out and construction merges with the Kerala ambiance.
 To creative natural ambience through better interaction between indoor and outdoor space.

 Situated far from main proximity

SITE DETAILS
IECC Kochi is proposed to be set up at 20 acres of land earmarked by KINFRA at Kakkanad, Kochi, Kerala close to the
Info Park, Smart City and the KINFRA Export Promotion Industrial Park. The proposed site is located about 20 KM
from the Cochin International Airport (Nedumbassery), about 12KM from the Railway station and about 15 KM from
Kochi Port. This Project is proposed to be executed directly by KINFRA in association with ITPO/Commodity Boards.

GLOBAL AYURVEDA VILLAGE- Trivandrum, kerala
INTRODUCTION
Global Ayurveda Village (GAV) project is a cross sectorial concept leveraging the inter linkages between Industries
and health care. The GAV attempts to incorporate most modern scientific developments in diagnostic and all other
treatment aspects with classical Ayurveda

AIM
The aim is to bench- mark the project with the Global Centres of traditional medicine and develops it as
Integrated Centre of Excellence in Ayurveda to overcome the challenges of this system of medicine in the
path of Global Recognition. And to provide an enabling infrastructure, which will address to the current
gaps in the growth of ayurvedic medical system.

OBJECTIVE
The project aims to provide an enabling infrastructure, which will address to the current gaps in the growth path of
Ayurveda and enhance the opportunities with value added service and an integrated approach with all other
medicinal system. Government of Kerala proposes to develop this project with a motive to transform Kerala as the
“World Capital of Ayurveda”.

SCOPE

 Serving rural masses for lack of infrastructure facilities and availability of materials.
 Lakhs of our poor rural people, especially women, will be benefited if we can strengthen the
network of these dispensaries.
 Attention in controlling the quality in manufacturing the medicine, manufacturing the hospital and
in providing truly scientific treatments to the needy. Especially to the foreigners.
 Ayurveda can be used to attract tourists.

LIMITATIONS

 Site is located near costal area and to give set back upto 100m
 Small river passing through the centre of site.
