I. OBJECTIVES/LEARNING OUTCOMES:
1. To be able to identify the technological tools that represent significant challenges and
uncertainties for the translation profession and in the industry.

II. SUBJECT MATTER:


Accurate and high quality translation uses new technological tools to achieve greater
international and cultural interaction

III. PROCEDURE:
a.) Present today’s topic: Accurate and high quality translation uses new
technological tools to achieve greater international and cultural interactions.
b.) Ask the students if they have any idea about the topic.
c.) Through a PowerPoint presentation, the teacher will discuss and give major
technological developments of contemporary translations.
d.) After the discussion, the students will watch a short tutorial video lessons on how
to use Computer-assisted translation tools.
e.) After watching the video, the students are tasked to read a documents which are
written in a native language.
f.) Students will choose a word or a sentence to translate in English.
g.) If done, the teacher will assist the students on how to use translation tools and let
them play a role to provide service in acting as an interlingual and intercultural
communication.
IV. ACTIVITIES:
The learners will read a short document written in Filipino Language and they are
given a chance to choose their own words or sentences from the document for them to
translate in English. After that, the students will now use CAT tools and let them
sought a way to increase productivity in translation and maintain consistency of their
linguistic data across a growing number of languages and countries.
