INTRODUCTION

The cosmetics industry is highly fashion-oriented and influ-
enced by colors, shapes, scents and sensors.
In particular, the colored cosmetics is continuously increasing
in diversity.

uality and color, effect pigments can raise those products to
another dimension. These concepts emphasize sustainable
brand identity and image by emotion-eliciting color impres-
sions.

TECHNOLOGY

Effect pigments are chromatic or achromatic, mostly insolu-
ble, inorganic or organic colorants.
Their properties are defined by their composition. Effect pig-
ments consist of pure or synthetic mica, or titanium dioxide
platelets uncoated or their mixtures coated with bismuth- or
iron oxides. The color stimulus is generated by the different
composite layers.
Advantages and Benefits
The color palette of decorative cosmetics can be transformed

attractive color stylings.
In skin- and hair care products effect pigments increase the

physical effects induce the

CHIONE ™ HD
CHIONE™ HD provide a bright clean color; combining the best
of high chroma and high purity. Bright clean colors help illumi-
nate the skin and can help create a flawless, even-toned cam-
era-ready appearance for face and eye make-up. CHIONE HD
provide excellent coverage and adhesion and are ideal for
lip, face and eye cosmetics. Consumer will look good and feel

CHIONE™ M SVA
Mica Filler, sensorial and textural modifier,
oil absorber for lipsticks
Chione™ M SVA has a very clean, white color and high purity.
Its hydrophobicity and amino acid content create a uniquely,
soft, velvety feel on the skin. It imparts good transparency and
matte finishing to the products. Chione™ M SVA creates ele-
gant, creamy smooth pressed powders, lipsticks and skin care
products.
MEARLMICA®
Treated SVA sensorial and textural modifier
Mearlmica® give balance and consisteny to cosmetic formu-
lations, while remaining optically neutral. Mearlmica® Treated
SVA contains Lauroyl Lysine to enhance the tactile, long-wear
properties, and hydrophobicity of certain types of cosmetic
formulations.
REFLECKS™
Reflecks™ pigments tale effect pigments to new levels of
chroma, color, purity, brightness, transparency and reflectiv-

Color changing pigments
These multi-dimensional effect pigments make distinctive
color travel effects possible in both color cosmetics and per-
sonal care products. On the skin or in suspension Reflecks™
MultiDimensions appear to be one color, but with changes in
the viewing angle the suddenly move across the color spec-
trum. In addition to their dynamic color shifts, Reflecks™ Multi-
Dimensions add dramatic sparkle and visual dimensionality.
MULTIREFLECTIONSTM Soft Sparkle Pigments
Impart depth, glow and radiance to formulations
Offer controlled color travel and silky skin feel for enhancing
the appearance of consumer products such as make up, lip,
nail care and personal care products. MultiReflections™ Soft
Sparkle Pigments impart a sense of depth, glow and radi-
ance to formulations. They add delicate iridiscent colors to
decorative make up products and in bath and body products
or fragrant sprays. Additionaly, in opaque formulas they are
complementing and enhancing skin’s natural color and glow.
FLAMENCO®
Flamenco® pigments are used to create lustrous or opales-
cent effects in all types of cosmetics and personal care pro-
ducts. They are available in a wide range of iridescent colors,
as well as white, and in variety of grades that provide differ-
ent effects and degrees of luster. Flamenco® white effect pig-
ments impart a luxurious pearlescent effect to personal care
products, while the interference colors can be used alone

FLAMENCO® Satin Colors
Subtle to low luster for matte finish
TIMICA® WHITE LUSTER PIGMENTS
Timica® white pigments vary in luster from silky and smooth
to sparkly. When combing these grades with coneventional
pigments to create colored effects, it is best to use tansparent
colorants and dyes.
TIMICA® METALLIC LUSTER PIGMENTS
Timica® metallic and earth colors can lend deep, warm tones
to an entire range of cosmetic and personal care products.
They can be used alone or blended. Timica® pigments add
metallic sheen and highlights to color cosmetics, nail enam-
els, hair make-up or rinse-off products. The metallic tone
colors are well suited for use in suntan related make-up and
auxiliary products.
TIMICA® INTERFERENCE COLORS
