BATS AND OTHER PROBLEMS

SCRIPT.-

This is what is happening in our country, in our Santa Cruz. The dry Chiquitano
forest is located in the municipality of Roboré in the reserve of El Valle de
Tucavaca.

MCR: Let me introduce myself: I am the striped face bat. In this valley we live
122 species of bats. Some feed on insects, others on fruits and others on the
nectar of nocturnal flowers.

FVL: I'm sorry, I lack the air and I couldn't find some food either.

MCR: What do you feed on?

FVL: I am of carnivorous species. I feed on small rodents, but today I couldn't

find them.

MOR: Hello, how are you? Could anyone find some food?

MCR & FVL: No…

MOR: Me neither. The air is very polluted and the fire still does not go out. I
feed on the insects that are in the foliage of the trees and many insects have
escaped or many of them are already burned.

MLLC: Hi, have you seen the fire? I'm lost and I can't find my food.

MCR: We still haven't found food. What food are you looking for?

MLLC: I feed on the nectar of flowers, pollen and part of the flower, but now
everything is burning!
FVL: It is true that all this pollution does not allow us to breathe and we will
starve if we do not leave now.

MOR: Do you think the shelter is real or false?

MLLC: It is false, not everyone enters there. They are only urban legends.

MCR: It is true! If they pay for toucan peaks and panther skins, they will not
invest in taking care of us.

FVL: I wish we had credit cards and thus pay them to stop destroying our
house.

MLLC: People will not stop throwing garbage in our house. Nor will they stop
cutting down our trees and deforesting everything in their path.

FVL: We could offer them a deal: if they don't burn our houses, we will keep the
pests of their crops under control.

MLLC: Do you think they comply with their share of the deal?

MOR: I won't believe it until I see it with my own eyes!

FVL: We don't have much time to wait. Our house is burning, we will have to
migrate, maybe to Brazil or Paraguay.

EVERYBODY: Yes, yes, we have to leave here

MCR: For this reason, we must take care of nature, since nature can live
without us, but we cannot live without it.
