To those hurt and offended by all the postings on my Facebook account,

First, I would like to sincerely apologize to Lakewood Community. The comments posted
on my Facebook account were insensitive, disrespectful, and offensive to your community,
especially to the Orthodox Jewish Community. I have served the Lakewood Community
including the Orthodox Jewish Community at large as a Firefighter and Fire Marshal for decades
and hope that my actions over those decades can speak louder than the Facebook comments.
The comments were not indicative of my true feelings of respect and compassion for Lakewood
and the Orthodox Jewish Community and I offer those who were offended my sincerest and
deepest apology.

Second, I would like to apologize to all County Employees and Officials, especially the
Ocean County Fire Marshal’s Office. Once again, the comments posted on my Facebook
account were disrespectful and offensive. The situation brought unneeded attention to the
County during a tense, uncertain, and stressful time when unity and compassion were needed
most. The comments were not and should not be considered an expression of the Ocean
County Administration.

Third, I have taken it upon myself to obtain behavioral counseling and work with the
Orthodox Jewish Community to better understand and address the Orthodox and Lakewood
Communities at large in the future.

Lastly, I would like to apologize to the Ocean County Community. I am sorry for adding
undue stress and tension upon our community during such a time of uncertainty. Insensitive,
offensive, and disrespectful expressions of stress and frustration have no place in our
community.
