Section 7 - Lubricating Oil System - Group 07 service tool, which is
initiated by selecting the
Section 8 - Cooling System - Group 08
feature option "De-Sulfur
Regeneration Test".
Section 9 - Drive Units - Group 09
INSITE™ electronic
Section 10 - Air Intake System - Group 10 service tool will then
perform a timed engine

raise the engine speed to

2. Select an appropriate
Section 6 - Injectors and Fuel Lines - Group 06
external location to
Section 7 - Lubricating Oil System - Group 07 park the vehicle.
Preferably on a
Section 8 - Cooling System - Group 08 surface that will
not burn or melt
Section 9 - Drive Units - Group 09 under high
exhaust
Section 10 - Air Intake System - Group 10 temperatures
(such as clean
Section 11 - Exhaust System - Group 11 concrete or
gravel, not
Section 12 - Compressed Air System - Group 12
grass or
asphalt). Any
Section 13 - Electrical Equipment - Group 13
Items that can
burn, melt or
Section 14 - Engine Testing - Group 14
explode (such

3. Park the vehicle

duty wheel

front and rear of

tires.
Section 5 - Fuel System - Group 05 4. Set up a safe area
around the vehicle
Section 6 - Injectors and Fuel Lines - Group 06 exhaust, and use
barriers to prevent
Section 7 - Lubricating Oil System - Group 07
any bystanders from
entering within 1.5 m
Section 8 - Cooling System - Group 08
[5 ft] of the exhaust
Section 9 - Drive Units - Group 09 outlet.
Make sure that
Section 10 - Air Intake System - Group 10 a serviceable
fire extinguisher
Section 11 - Exhaust System - Group 11 is nearby.
Check the
Section 12 - Compressed Air System - Group 12 exhaust system
components,
Section 13 - Electrical Equipment - Group 13 and confirm that
there is nothing
Section 14 - Engine Testing - Group 14 on or near the
exhaust system

on-screen

perform the process.
Section 4 - Cam Followers/Tappets - Group 04 Once the
regeneration
Section 5 - Fuel System - Group 05 commences,
the engine
Section 6 - Injectors and Fuel Lines - Group 06 speed will
initially remain
Section 7 - Lubricating Oil System - Group 07
at idle to allow
the engine to
Section 8 - Cooling System - Group 08
warm-up. This
Section 9 - Drive Units - Group 09 will be followed
by a slow
Section 10 - Air Intake System - Group 10 controlled
acceleration to
Section 11 - Exhaust System - Group 11 attain the
appropriate
Section 12 - Compressed Air System - Group 12 elevated speed
for
Section 13 - Electrical Equipment - Group 13 regeneration. At
this point, the
Section 14 - Engine Testing - Group 14 fuel injection
sequencing is

Depress the
Section 9 - Drive Units - Group 09 clutch (if
equipped)
Section 10 - Air Intake System - Group 10 Depress the
brake
Section 11 - Exhaust System - Group 11 Depress the
acceleration
Section 12 - Compressed Air System - Group 12 pedal
Switch the
Section 13 - Electrical Equipment - Group 13
engine OFF.
6. Monitor the area.
Section 14 - Engine Testing - Group 14
Make sure that
