Carry out the following checks for each cable and complete attached table on page 2

1 Cable is the correct type and size as per cable schedule.
2 Cable glands are the correct type and size as per cable schedule.
On single core cables, confirm non-magnetic gland plates or insulated glands are

fitted.
4 Confirm cable source/destination route and segregation are correct.
Check cable supports, cleating and banding are in accordance with project
5
specifications.
6 Check bending radius is within manufacturer’s recommendations.
7 Check cable markers are correct at each side of transits and at each end.
8 Ensure IP sealing washers are fitted to glands, where applicable.
9 Check earth tag and bonding are in accordance with project specifications.
10 Confirm conductor continuity / phasing is correct.
With all cores disconnected test & record on page 2: continuity and insulation
11
resistance values for core to core, core to earth and core to armour/screen.
12 Reconnect cable cores at both ends and confirm correct terminations/crimps.
13 Confirm protective measures (i.e.: kick plates) are fitted correctly.
14 Replace covers and check all bolts are correct and non - missing.
