Industry Profile:
In Pakistan, the quality of education has a declining trend. Shortage of teachers and
poorly equipped laboratories has resulted in the out-dated curriculum that has little
relevance to present day needs. Causative factors include defective curricula, dual
medium of instruction, poor quality of teachers, cheating in the examinations and
overcrowded classrooms. However, efforts are on the way of molding the curriculum to
meet its national requirements.
According to the Quality Standard World University Ranking 2010 there are two
Pakistani universities among top 200 Technology Universities of the World. Eleven
Pakistani other universities including Quaid-e-Azam University, the University of
Peshawar, National University of Science & Technology, University of Karachi,
University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore and Riphah International University
(Private Sector) also ranked among World Top 1000 Universities of world, according
to World Ranking of Universities. For three decades Pakistani education planners toyed
with grand plans to build MITs and Harvard’s in the country. Nothing materialized. But
three years ago the first serious effort to deal with Pakistan’s chronically ill universities
was finally initiated. Unfortunately, this effort by the Higher Education Commission
has now become mired in an intense, growing controversy.
The immediate cause centers on the award of fake degrees and the flourishing of
substandard higher education institutions, as well as on the HEC’s head, Dr. Atta-ur-
Rahman, having personally punished the whistle-blower who brought this important
issue to his (and the public’s) The do’s are far more than can be discussed here.
Broadly speaking, they can be divided into two mutually distinct sets. One set must
deal with raising the level of general competence of teachers and students by ensuring

that they actually have an understanding of the subject they teach or study, and with
increasing the amount of research in specific disciplines. Universities

CONCLUSION:
As far as academic and education condition is concerned, this University is a very good
University of Pakistan in the field of Veterinary. Number of Research Projects are
under way here and very capable Scholars/ researcher are working and giving useful
outcome for the country. On the other hand in the field of Admonition, this University
lacks behind for some reasons. Traditional method of Administration is being applied
in operations, no proper way to evaluate the performance of employee, no proper
arrangements for the training of the employees. Nothing is being done for the
development of employees. Employees learn on their own will and wish, organization
do very little to equip them with skills and knowledge. Very little use of modern tolls of
information technology.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
They should follow the world standard or the HR 360 degree standard where not only
the boss evaluates the employees but the whole panel and the colleges and sub
ordinates also evaluate the employee on work performance. there should be no
motivational aspect present which gives a positive impact on employee. Employee
oriented decision should be made rather than complete focus on the academic and
educational activity. Training sessions should be arranged to make the employee more
efficient. Most important is that the modern tolls of information technology should be
used to enhance the performance of Human Resource department. All the record should
be online. Modern methods of management should be applied.
