gether at home during the week. This tool is intended to help you lead a family worship time. Please go to God in worship as a family on a regular basis even if you do not use this re-
source. If your family completes one of the devotionals parents can initial in the boxes below and the child will receive a buck for every devotional completed.

Devotional One, Read: The Pharisees thought they were great because of
their religion. Jesus was trying to show them that they were just as bad
off as everyone else. Everyone is lost. Jesus wanted to find the lost peo-
ple and rescue them. “I once was lost but now I’m found..” And everyone
needs to be found by Jesus because everyone is lost before Jesus comes.
Read these verses that show you what Jesus did to “find” you.
Devotional Two, Pray: We matter to Jesus. Jesus loves us. But we need
to trust Him. He is completely worthy of our trust but we find it hard often
times to let go. This is where prayer comes into play. Prayer helps us trust
in the Lord more fully. Will you pray today asking Jesus to give you
strength to trust Him and believe His word. If you don’t know Jesus as sav-
ior, would you ask Him to help you trust Him fully today to be your savior?

Scriptures to consider: Luke 19:10; Matthew 9:13; Mark 2:17; Pray to God asking Him to help you trust Him in general and for salvation
if you don’t already know Him this way.

Devotional Three, Mold: We start off as lost and as sinners who need
someone to save us. When Jesus saves us, He begins to mold us to be
more like Him. He uses prayer, reading His word, people in our lives and
other things too. But we have to listen. Use playdough to make a sheep
and shepherd. Think about how Jesus rescues lost people and begins to
mold them to be like Him.

Devotional Four, Memorize: David “hid God’s word in his heart”.
That’s what we’re trying to do with scripture memory. Draw a heart on
a large sheet of paper. Every time you learn a word from this month’s
memory work, write it in the heart. Once you’ve filled up the heart see
if your mom or dad will help you bake some heart shaped cookies to
celebrate.

Devotional Five, Sing: I love hymns. Hymns are songs that people might have been singing for hundreds of years. One of my favorites is “ Amazing
Grace.” With your parent’s help, look up this song on the internet or in a hymn book. See if you can find the story behind the song. Talk about this
song and what it means. A good resource is “www.cyberhymnal.org,” you can listen and read the lyrics and read about the hymn. See if you can sing
the hymn once you’re finished learning about it.
