0 RESEARCH TITLE
The United States Department of Agriculture estimates that about half of each food dollar
spent in this country is for food prepared outside the home. That means large quantities of
food are purchased by operations that prepare meals for American Consumer ( Iowa State
University). Rising food costs, food safety, health conscious consumers with shifting
tastes and a tough labor market define the food service industry. Restaurants have to find
ways to become masters of operational efficiency while at the same time building
customer loyalty. Effective talent management can be the secret ingredient to success

Students more preferred College Food Court because of variety of choices food and
beverages and the price are reasonable. Furthermore, it has many ways to attract students
The literature review has revealed that more student go to College Food Court. It is
because there are many disadvantage of International Cafe. As we can see at International
Cafe, the service to the students are not friendly. They not treat the customer as they
should treat. Furthermore, the cleanliness at the cafe is dirty. There a lot of flies. It shows
that, the cafe is not take the precaution of the students health. However, a major
problem with this condition is that sometimes the price of the food and drink are not
The research will seek solutions for International Cafe to improve the quality of the cafe
The study aims to answer the following research questions about the College Food Court
This study conducted by Toby Weber(2003) has revealed multi-service point, scatter

8.0 METHODOLOGY
The research methodology, like the data and participants was designed based on the
research questions and the theoretical framework of the study. The instrument in use for
this research is merely the questionnaire which contains two sections and 20 questions.
The first section of the questionnaire is to analyze the pros and cons of College Food
Court and International Cafe. The second section will be tested on the opinion and
suggestion to improve the College Food Court. It also a survey to ask a which would
choose, College Food Court or International Cafe. The sample consists of 60 students
The participants consists of 30 females and 30 males. They ranged from 18 to 21 years of
age.
9.0 SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
The research is to improve the lacks of International Cafe. The importance of this
research will give insights for International Cafe to be able to serve better ranges and
food beverages to the students of Legenda College in compare to College Food Court.
