Boom! Crash! Bang! The sounds of war are louder than 1,000 tanks simultaneously firing. The smell of
the dad and decay is stronger than the power of the Nazis. This is World War II; one of the most
destructive wars in the history of mankind and having the most impact, on the world itself, that is still
around today.
The images of war can change people and their look on life. This was the case for the people that
survived World War II. “They saw how destructive, violent, and bloody it was,” (The U.S. Office of War
2:15 – 2:22). As noted by the U.S. Office of War in the video, “World at War Part 1,” “ America was at
war. It had been at war, although few Americans realized it, for more than ten years. Ever Since
September 18th, 1931 when Japan clawed Manchuria out of the body of China,” ( The U.S. Office of War
7:34 – 7:51). So World War II was a huge shock to the world, but “why” isn’t the question, “how” is.
The Nazis struck ear into the world. They change the security of the world … even today. With every
interview that was conducted, there was always something that had to do with “the security of the and
technology being too advanced,” (The interviewees question two).Just like today, most of the Nazi’s
technology was too advanced for the other nations and caused Nazi victories. “ It was not entirely
bloodless. Italy and Germany had been fighting in Spain. General Franco had revolted against the
republican government. He invited and received German and Italian aid. The newly elected government
received some Russian aid. The democracies evolved a formula of non-intervention. The dictator rushed
to assign. This was an opportunity of a dress rehearsal for full scale war, an excellent chance to test new
weapons and tactics,” (The U.S. Office of War 11:32– 12:07). The Nazis had the power to change the
The Nazi Regime used lots of propaganda to make people think or believe what they did. This
propaganda hanged the way some Nations though of one another. On one of my interviews, I asked what
the interviewee thought the results of World War II were and they said, “Germany lost its army, the land
they captured, and a lot of money!” “But where did the army come from,” you might ask. They did it
through propaganda. They used it to cause foreign countries to join them. “Two years after the war had
begun, the war ended, (between Japan and Italy). Italy had joined Japan in the partnership of aggression,”
(The U.S. Office of War 10:23 – 10:33). So, from this point of view, propaganda was a bad thing.
From violence to fear, to death and propaganda, this barely catches the surface on what the Nazi Regime
has done throughout the many years that they were around. They changed the whole world worked. They
struck fear into nations, and caused the United Nations to be formed so this could never happen again.
The images of the aftermath of the Holocaust caused a shockwave o fear , horror, and shock for years to
come. Plus the propaganda that Hitler and the Nazis used to cause nations to go against eachother or join
the Nazis. This is one of the many problems the world has had and how it changed society. The most
