Recalled July 15, 2020

The Grand Jurors of the State of Mississippi, taken from the body of good and
lawful citizens of Madison County, elected, summoned, impaneled, sworn and charged
to inquire in and for the body of the county aforesaid, at the term aforesaid of the Court
aforesaid, in the name and by the authority of the State of Mississippi, upon their oath
present that:

COUNT I

EDGAR EGBERT, on or about the 5th day of September, 2019, in the county aforesaid
and within the jurisdiction of this Court, did purposely, knowingly, feloniously and
intentionally, without the authority of law and not in necessary self-defense, did with
deliberate design to effect the death of Bradley Sullivan, a human being, attempt to kill
Bradley Sullivan, by shooting into his patrol vehicle, which actions constitute overt acts
in Edgar Egbert's design and endeavor to kill Bradley Sullivan, althought he did fail
therein or was prevented from committing the murder, which incident occurred in
Canton, Madison County, Mississippi, in violation of Miss. Code Ann. §§97-3-19(1)(a)
and 97-1-7(2) (1972, as amended);

COUNT II

EDGAR EGBERT, on or about the 5th day of September, 2019, in the county aforesaid
and within the jurisdiction of this Court, did purposely, knowingly, feloniously and
intentionally, without the authority of law and not in necessary self-defense, did with
deliberate design to effect the death of Joel Evans, a human being, attempt to kill Joel
Evans, by shooting into his patrol vehicle, which actions constitute overt acts in Edgar
Egbert's design and endeavor to kill Joel Evans, althought he did fail therein or was
prevented from committing the murder, which incident occurred in Canton, Madison
County, Mississippi, in violation of Miss. Code Ann. §§97-3-19(1)(a) and 97-1-7(2)
(1972, as amended);

COUNT III

EDGAR EGBERT, on or about the 5th day of September, 2019, in the county aforesaid
and within the jurisdiction of this Court, did purposely, knowingly, feloniously and
intentionally, without the authority of law and not in necessary self-defense, did with
deliberate design to effect the death of George Elliott, a human being, attempt to kill
George Elliott, by shooting into his patrol vehicle, which actions constitute overt acts in
Edgar Egbert's design and endeavor to kill George Elliott, althought he did fail therein or
was prevented from committing the murder, which incident occurred in Canton, Madison
County, Mississippi, in violation of Miss. Code Ann. §§97-3-19(1)(a) and 97-1-7(2)
(1972, as amended);

COUNT IV

EDGAR EGBERT, on or about the 5th day of September, 2019, in the county aforesaid
and within the jurisdiction of this Court, did purposely, knowingly, feloniously and
intentionally, without the authority of law and not in necessary self-defense, did with
deliberate design to effect the death of Scott Graves, a human being, attempt to kill
Scott Graves, by shooting into his patrol vehicle, which actions constitute overt acts in
Edgar Egbert's design and endeavor to kill Scott Graves, althought he did fail therein or
was prevented from committing the murder, which incident occurred in Canton, Madison
County, Mississippi, in violation of Miss. Code Ann. §§97-3-19(1)(a) and 97-1-7(2)
(1972, as amended);

COUNT V

EDGAR EGBERT, on or about the 5th day of September, 2019, in the county aforesaid
and within the jurisdiction of this Court, did purposely, knowingly, feloniously and
intentionally, without the authority of law and not in necessary self-defense, did with
deliberate design to effect the death of James Cannon, a human being, attempt to kill
James Cannon, by shooting into his patrol vehicle, which actions constitute overt acts in
Edgar Egbert's design and endeavor to kill James Cannon, althought he did fail therein
or was prevented from committing the murder, which incident occurred in Canton,

Madison County, Mississippi, in violation of Miss. Code Ann. §§97-3-19(1)(a) and 97-1-
7(2) (1972, as amended);

COUNT VI

EDGAR EGBERT, on or about the 5th day of September, 2019, in the county aforesaid
and within the jurisdiction of this Court, did purposely, knowingly, feloniously and
intentionally, without the authority of law and not in necessary self-defense, did with
deliberate design to effect the death of James Hall, a human being, attempt to kill
James Hall, by shooting into his patrol vehicle, which actions constitute overt acts in
Edgar Egbert's design and endeavor to kill James Hall, althought he did fail therein or
was prevented from committing the murder, which incident occurred in Canton, Madison
County, Mississippi, in violation of Miss. Code Ann. §§97-3-19(1)(a) and 97-1-7(2)
(1972, as amended)';

COUNT VII

EDGAR EGBERT, on or about the 5th day of September, 2019, in the county aforesaid
and within the jurisdiction of this Court, did willfully, unlawfully and feloniously,with or
without intent to secretly confine, forcibly seize and confine Cipriani Theiron, and did
inveigle or kidnap Cipriani Theiron with intent to cause Cipriani Theiron to be confined or
imprisoned against his will in violation of Miss. Code Ann. §§97-3-53 (1972, as
amended);

COUNT VIII

EDGAR EGBERT, on or about the 5th day of September, 2019, in Madison County,
Mississippi, and within the jurisdiction of this Court, did willfully, unlawfully and
feloniously, while driving a motor vehicle, fail to stop in compliance with a visible and
audible signal given by a law enforcement officer acting in the lawful performance of
his/her duty and who had reasonable suspicion to believe that the driver had committed
a crime therein, but failing to stop resulted in the said EDGAR EGBERT, operating the
motor vehicle in such a manner as to indicate a reckless or willful disregard for the
safety of persons or property, or in a manner manifesting extreme indifference to the
value of human life, in violation of Miss. Code Ann. §97-9-72 (1972, as amended),

All of the above (Count I through Counts VIII) being against the peace and dignity of the
State of Missippi.

AFFIDAVIT

COMES NOW Emily C. Quick, Foreperson of the July 15, 2020, Madison County
Grand Jury, and makes oath that this Indictment presented to this Court was concurred
by twelve (12) or more members of the Grand Jury, and that at least fifteen (15)
members thereof were present during all deliberations.
