Q2: Suppose you are working as a lecturer in an educational institute. Due to Covid-19
pandemic, the institution is closed and converts all academic activities virtually. At the end
of the semester, the institution has to take exams. Students want to be evaluated virtually
instead of coming to the university in order to maintain social distance. Write a feasibility
report to the controller of examination, proposing different courses of action to hold the
final examination virtually considering the scenario. (10 marks)

Proposing different courses of action to hold the final examination why student
can’t appear in examination, how it will be conducted.
Hope you’re doing well and safe in this time of global pandemic, with due respect, I
heard some rumors that the final exam will be conducted in campuses rather than online
like mid-terms. You must know that people are still getting infected with this deadly
disease (Covid-19) and those who have not died yet are at great risk of infection. As per the
study, more than 80% of infected people got no symptoms and students have no idea which
student will be infected or which will not. Students are also not sure about the safety
measures taken at the campuses and no one can make sure. It also came to my knowledge
that most of the well known universities like Karachi University and Indus University had
already taken the final exams online due to this pandemic(Covid-19). You should also think
about this issue, as it is a risk to join university for exams, one infected student can infect
the whole university staff and students. So exam shall be con ducted virtually, I am stating
a few things to follow as suggestion for taking the online examination.
 First of all, this examination should be open-book exam in which students are
given questions that are concept-based.
 Secondly, if any teacher wants to take objective papers, he/she should give 90
seconds for each choice. Time limit should be given; student must attempt the
question in given time then next. There should be not review to the past question.
 If teacher wants to take short question/answer paper, he should give 5 minute for
each question and one page must contain only one question, student should have
solve it and then go to next.
Cameras should not be compulsory as some students do not have stable internet
connection so it can trouble them. Students should be given pace to do his exam. This
is a very serious matter you should think about it deeply; most of the parents are not
allowing their children to put their lives on stake of exams. Your efforts in order to
take the exams online home based will be highly appreciated.
