v Kotak Group Accident Care provides coverage in case of Accidental Death, Permanent Total Disablement
and Permanent Partial Disablement due to Accident
w The policy will pay the Sum Insured if death/ disablement of Insured Person occurs solely and directly due to
an Injury sustained in an Accident
w The Accident should occur during the Policy Period
w The Insured Person’s death/ disablement should occur within 12 months from the date of Accident
v Accidental Hospitalization
The policy will reimburse the amount towards the Medical Expenses incurred in respect of a medical treatment or
Surgery for the Injury sustained due to an Accident
v Modification allowance
The policy will reimburse the cost of the improvements carried out in the Insured Person’s residence and/or
vehicle following the Permanent Total Disablement or Permanent Partial Disablement
v Children’s Education Grant
The policy will pay the specified amount specified towards the Dependent child’s education who is under the Age
of 25 and unmarried, irrespective of whether the child (children) is an Insured Person under this Policy.
v Major Exclusions
Death/ Accident/ Injury arising from/ due to
w intentional self-injury, suicide or attempted suicide
w influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs
w war/ war like activities
w venereal disease or insanity or mental, nervous or emotional disorder
w breach of law
w circumcision or strictures, vaccination, inoculation, sex change, beauty treatment
w dental treatment, eye treatment, plastic surgery unless as a consequence of an Injury
w participation in Professional Sports, bodily contact sport or any other hazardous or potentially dangerous
sport for which the Insured Person is untrained, unless specifically covered under the Policy
w ionizing radiation or contamination by radioactivity from any nuclear fuel/ nuclear waste
w nuclear weapon materials
