SCOPE: THIS PROCEDURE IS APPLIED TO ENSURE THAT THE CORRECT EQUIPMENT IS MOBILISED TO LOCATION FOR
PROVIDING A FALLOFF TEST WITH FIBER OPTIC UNIT AND PRESSURE GAUGE. THIS FORM SHOULD BE AVALIABLE
ON LOCATION.

MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES.

1. Inspect all equipment prior to any job to insure in good operating condition.
2. While at P.T. HHI Yard conduct a 'Pre-Job Meeting' with all personnel involved. Items to be discussed
are (but not limited to): Safety and Job Scope.
3. Conduct 'Pre-Installation Meeting' with all personnel involved; Hoist or Rig Crew, Kill Crew and all other
Chevron Employees involved with installation. Items to be discussed include; Safety, Maintenance of
System (how to avoid unnecessary damage to capillary tubing).
4. Inspect Rig slips to insure enough room for the passage of the capillary tubing without crimping by the
slips.
5. Set-up Air Compressor and insure necessary air pressure is available.
6. Rig capillary tubing on A-Frame or Logging Truck maintaining sufficient distance from rig to facilitate the
installation of the capillary tubing.
7. Connect Banding Gun to compressor air and position equipment not to interfere with rig operations.
8. Run capillary tubing through hay sheave and hang sheave from derrick.
9. Pull capillary tubing to rig floor, position first band, test slip position and lock in place. Bands should be
positioned 1 per joint at the mid-joint position.
10. Avoid excessive 360-degree turns on tubing and commence running in the hole.
11. At the end of a successful run prior to bolting down the well head flange, Pt. HHI operator is to test
completion at surface by running a 5-foot piece of 'Rodded Fiber' through the capillary tubing past the
bottom of the tubing hanger. If 'Rodded Fiber' passes freely in-side capillary tubing, continue with job
completion.
12. After Rig crew has tightened all bolts on wellhead flange. Pt. HHI crew is to install valve on capillary
tubing.
13. Capillary tubing is to be retrieved by basically following the same procedures outlined above. The
capillary tubing, if not damaged, can be reused after it is cleaned and pressure checked at Pt. HHI
shop.
