THE SOCIETY
The society of electrical and electronics engineers of the
department of electrical and electronics engineering is a forum
for students to share their ideas, improve their knowledge and
develop their skills. Every year the student members of the SEEE
conduct various events and undertake various activities including
RIPPLES, an intra college symposium conducted usually in the odd
semester
WAVES, a national level inter college technical symposium
conducted usually in the even semester.
A monthly magazine “IMPULSE” which nurtures literary and
creative talent among students
Seminars are organized frequently by experts in various fields
Placement training programs for students
WAVES
Waves, the annual techno fest of the department of EEE, fosters
innovation and thought where the best brains in the country
exhibit their talent. Every year a whole new range of projects and
papers are presented by students from various colleges in the
country. Over three thousand participants from reputed technical
institutions are drawn to the fest not only to take part in various
events but also to witness how their peers have researched on
current topics. WAVES 2011 is the 29th edition of what witnessed
a humble beginning and what now has been transformed into an
eagerly awaited symposium in the calendar of an enthusiast.
AVENUES OF SPONSORSHIP
MAIN SPONSOR
The symposium will be named after the main sponsor.
All banners, posters, organizers’ ID cards, certificates
corresponding to Waves ’11 will carry the name and the logo of
the main sponsor.
Banners containing the name and logo of the main sponsor will be
put on display in and around the auditorium and at the entrance.
Main sponsor will be given extensive audio and video publicity
during the entire symposium.
The main sponsor’s name and logo will be displayed on the Waves
’11 official website.
CO-SPONSOR
All banners and posters corresponding to Waves ’11 will carry the
name and the logo of the sponsor.
Banners containing the name and logo of the Co-sponsor will be
put on display in and around the auditorium and at the entrance.
The co-sponsor will be given extensive audio and video publicity
during the entire symposium.
The co-sponsor’s name and logo will be displayed on the Waves
’11 official website.
DAY SPONSOR
The company will get to sponsor all the events happening on that
day.
All the events that are conducted on the day will carry the
company’s name and logo.
The co-sponsor’s name and logo will be displayed on the Waves
’11 official website.
EVENT SPONSOR
The event will be named after the company’s name.
The event posters and banners will carry the name and logo of
the event sponsor.
The company’s name will be displayed on the webpage pertaining
to the event.
T-SHIRT SPONSOR
The company will get to sponsor the T-shirts that will be given to
the participants during Waves ’11.
The Waves ’11 T-shirt will carry the company name and logo.
The T-shirts sponsor’s name and logo will be put in posters,
banners and official website.
WORKSHOPS
Workshops, an integral part of Waves are attended by thousands
of students from around the country every year. Workshops
reflect the spirit of WAVES, which is to enlighten students, by
providing hands-on experience on various fields including
Robotics, Computers, Management and Science. The participants
are exposed to various real-life engineering scenarios guided by
experts in the respective fields.
Some of the workshops conducted during the previous edition of
Waves include:
• Robonoids workshop
The trademark workshop of WAVES, attracted more than 1500
students last year. Students were tutored to assemble their own
bot and work. A hands-on experience on assembling and rung a
bot was provided to every participant in the workshop.
• Workshop on “Ethical Hacking”
Mr.Sunny Vaghela of Tech Defence, who is a reputed personality
in the field of ethical hacking conducted this certified workshop.
Attended by over 1000 students, this one day workshop
elucidated the basics of hacking and its ethical applications to the
participants.
• Aerospace workshop
Conducted by an expert from ISRO, this workshop attracted over
800 eager students. The various technological advancements
made by the ISRO in recent years were demonstrated.

PAPER PRESENTATION

pinnacle of waves since its inception and it continues to inspire
students across the globe.

PROJECT DISPLAY
Waves is an apt stage to showcase the innovation that
was once a rough sketch. Participants spend months designing
their project only to be a part of waves, where their thought is
given its due.
CONTRAPTION
A new event of WAVES, contraption is sure to attract
people wanting to challenge the problem statement
and experiment with their screw drivers and ping
pong balls.
