GOAL : Identificar la forma afirmativa del verbo to be.

El verbo To be

Uno de los verbos más importantes del idioma inglés es el verbo To Be y por eso es esencial
aprender a usarlo correctamente. El verbo "to be" significa ser o estar.

Entre los usos del verbo to be están:

Indicar profesión : I am an engineer : Yo soy ingeniero

Expresar estados de ánimo, emociones, sentimientos: She is tired: Ella está cansada

We are hungry : Tenemos hambre

Informar sobre la edad : He is twenty years old : Él tiene veinte años

Especificar medidas, formas, color : The table is two meters long : La mesa tiene dos metros de
largo

The apple is red : La manzana es roja

Hablar del tiempo atmosférico : It is sunny : Está soleado

Informar sobre precious : How much is the jacket? : ¿cuánto cuesta la chaqueta?

La Forma afirmativa del verbo To Be

El verbo "To be" es un verbo irregular, quiere decir, que para conjugarlo debemos aprenderlo de
memoria. El verbo To be en su forma singular es "am" y "is" y en su forma plural es "are".

Para la forma afirmativa del tiempo presente, primero se coloca el pronombre sujeto y luego el
verbo to be en su forma correspondiente (ver tabla inferior)
