Student Name: Arbind Sah UID: 19BEM1056

Branch: Mechatronics Section/Group:B
Semester: 3rd Date of Performance:24-7-2020
Subject Name: Digital Electronics Subject Code:MTP-207

1. Aim/Overview of the practical: to design and study the basic amplifier using OP-
Amp

2. Task to be done: to design an inverting circuit using inverting OP-Amp, and to analyze
its waveforms.

3. Apparatus:
resistors-10 ohm and 100 ohm
CRO
Voltage supply
One OP-Amp IC 741
4. Steps for experiment/practical:
1. Click on the canvas.
2. Click on the drop down button of the desired component.
3. Now, place that component on the canvas on the required position.
4. Repeat step 2 and 3 till all the required components are placed on the canvas.
5. Make connections using wires and Y connectors.
6. Click on “START” button to start the simulation.
7. The wires will change their colour to green if the connections are correct, so now take
readings.

5. Observations chart:
S.NO INPUT FREQUENCY INPUT FEEDBACK OUTPUT
VOLTAGE / RESISTOR RESISTOR VOLTAGE
TYPE
1 1 100 10 100 -10
2 1.2 100 10 100 -12
3 1.5 100 10 100 -15
6 Calculations:

Gains=-(Rf/Ri)=-(100/10)=-10

7. Percentage error (if any or applicable):difference in practical and theoretical gain

No

8. Results :

Input voltage=1 volt

Output voltage=10 volts

Input voltage=1.2 volts

Output voltage= 12 volts

Input voltage=1.5 volts

Output voltage= 15 volts

V(output)=-(Vi/Ri)*Rf

Output waveform is observed at 180° from input waveform

9. Graphs (If Any): Image /Soft copy of graph paper to be attached here
Learning outcomes (What I have learnt):

1. Learned about the concept of gain.

2. I learned about the concept and functioning of OP-AMP

3. I learned about functioning of CRO.

4. I learned details of IC741 about its pins and its functioning

5. I learned using simulator as well as performing experiments on breadboard and

using CRO in experiments.
