GOAL

When creating a Purchase Requisition, it is not possible to update the item description that was given on a BPA, even though
on that BPA the checkbox 'Allow item description update' is checked.

SOLUTION

When sourcing an item from a BPA, user will not be able to update the description at Requisition line.

Item description update is allowed as follows:

Enter requisition line if:

The item is not sourced from BPA (Source Doc ID is Null)

And the "Allow Purchasing Document Description Update" is set to Yes at the item level in PIM
And the line does not reference a Smart Form OR the "User Editable" is set to Y in the referenced Smart Form

Purchase Order if:

Allow item description update is to Yes at the procurement BU level

And the "Allow Purchasing Document Description Update" is set to Yes at the item level in PIM
And the BPA line has the "Allow item description update" checked

There is no current information on plans to change this logic and make it the same for requisition and Purchase Order.
