DIE INSTALLATION

1 PURPOSE:
 To Install new Die after installation

2 SCOPE:
 Electrical & Instrument (YES)

3 PRE-REQUISITE
 Approved Hot permit
 Process Isolation
 Cotton Rags
 Proper tools

4 TO BE AUTHORIZE BY

 Electrical & Instrument Engineer

 Shift in-charge
5 PROCEDURE:
 Generate a Hot work permit when Mechanical team ask to remove Die
 Installation of Temperature Sensors (Pt – 100)
 Install 11 nos. of PT-100 bearing tag Zone 1 to Zone 11
 Install 11 nos. PT-100 bearing tag Zone 12 to Zone 22
 Install 11 nos. PT-100 bearing tag Zone 23 to Zone 33
 Install 2 nos. PT-100 EP 1 and EP 2
 Install 2 nos. PT-100 outer lip temperature sensor
 Fixing of all Die Heating Connector
 Install 2 nos. -outer block heating connectors bearing tag X-11 and X-14

 Install 2 nos. inner block heating connectors bearing tag X-12 and X-13
 Install End Plate # 1 and # 2 heating connector
 Install 2 nos. outer lips heater connector
 Install 2 nos. of thermo flex die bolt heating connectors Plug 1 and Plug 2
 connect fuses in MCC – 1 and enable power supply
 With the coordination of process team first turn on die heating from HMI and Start die heating
procedure as per defined protocol
 Total of 10 nos. of heating connectors and 37 nos. of PT-100 will be installed. PT-100 insertion
should be smooth without any hindrance.
 Close your work permit from concerned authorized personnel
 Clean the area & remove all the tools
 Make an entry of the said job in the technician log book
