Answer:

The GRE (Graduate Record Examination) is administered by Education Testing Services (ETS). The
GMAT test is developed & administered by the US-based Pearson VUE under the direction of the
Graduate management Admission Council (GMAC), a non-profit organization of graduate business
schools worldwide. The SAT is a standardized test for college admissions in the United States. The SAT
is administered by the ETS (Educational Testing Service) in the United States and is developed,
published and scored by the College Board. The TOEFL test is developed & administered by the ETS.
This implies that ETS sets the questions & conducts the test. For the conduct of the test, ETS has
appointed various testing agencies in various countries, which act as a franchisee for ETS. In India,
this agency is the ³PROMETRIC TESTING SERVICES Pvt Ltd´ which administers the test at 9 centers in
the country. IELTS is jointly managed by the University Of Cambridge ESOL examinations (Cambridge
ESOL), British Council & IDP Education Australia: IELTS Australia.

Answer:

GRE: GRE policy states that you may take the computer-based GRE exam once per calendar month.
If you test more than once per month, your new scores will not be reported & your test fee will be
forfeited. We can write GRE on any working day of the year. (Saturdays & Sundays are holidays)

GMAT: The GMAt test can be taken once per calendar month. The GMAT test is held all round the
year. You can choose your own date & time for taking this test. This test is administered five days a
week (Monday to Friday), twice a day. September to December is the high season for GMAT. In this
period one has to register themselves 90 days in advance to get a date of your choice.

SAT: College evaluates the SAT in different ways. Some will take your highest verbal & math scores
even if they were earned on different test days. Some will take your highest combined score on a
particular day. Some will take the average of all your scores. No matter what each school¶s policy is,
every single score you earn is a part of your permanent transcript, and the colleges see them all.
Therefore, it may not be good to take the test as many times as you can. It is advisable that we take
the test 2 or 3 times, as long as your scores will considerably increase each time. However, if you hit
1800 or believe that you have dug out the highest potential it is better you stop there.
TOEFL: The TOEFL iBT test is taken only once in a seven-day period, even if you took the test &
cancelled your scores. If you test more than once in a seven-day period, your new scores will not be
reported and the test fee will not be refunded.

IELTS: there is no limitation on how frequently candidates can sit IELTS. It should be noted however
that IELTS scores are not substantially improved merely by taking the test on multiple occasions. To
significantly improve a score It is necessary to engage in further study of a serious nature.
