Social Media Analysis

The two-day State of the Net Conference wrapped up last


Wednesday with the most comprehensive net policy agenda,
prominent experts in Internet policy and law, and 500 attendees.

We saw many guests sharing their thoughts on Twitter using the


hashtag #SOTN.

We analyzed all 1,500+ tweets from this conversation to better


understand the most prevalent discussion themes and influential
people in the online social sphere.

Not only were these Twitter users the most retweeted, but their
handles they found themselves as part of the top 100 terms in all
1,800+ tweets.

The most influential Tweeter during State of the Net was Alex Howard
@digiphile. His Twitter handle was clearly the most used word over
the course of the conference.
