The Department of Transport hereby invites bids for the following:

NGQUSHWA LMA FRIDAY 10 AUGUST
2018 AT 10H00

Bid documents will be available from 09:00 on Monday 30th July 2018 at the offices of the
Department of Transport, Room C1, Stellenbosch Park, Fleming Street, Schornville, King William’s
Town upon payment of a non-refundable deposit of R1000.00 per document. Only cash or
bank guaranteed cheques will be accepted. All cheques must be made payable to the “Department
of Transport”. Payment in cash or bank guaranteed cheque must be made at Room A27, prior to
collection of the Bid documents from Room C1.

Compulsory briefings will be conducted as stated in the table above.

Bids will be evaluated on functionality and price based on the 90/10 preference point system in
terms of the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (Act 5 of 2000) and 2017 Regulations
thereto and points for B-BBEE status.

Completed Tender documents in a sealed envelope endorsed with the relevant bid number, bid
description and the closing date, must be deposited in the bid boxes, Department of Transport
offices, C Block Foyer, Old Building not later than 11 am on Friday the 24th of August 2018
where tender will be opened in public.

Requirements for sealing, addressing, delivery, opening and assessment of tenders are stated in
the Tender Data.
