Dear Students and Families,  
 
This letter is to inform you that an individual associated with the Transportation Department recently 
tested positive for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). ​It is important to note that the Maine CDC 
has determined the individual ​not​ to be a “close contact” by way of their contact tracing process.  
 
Out of an abundance of caution prior to the opening of school, we have decided to delay the staggered 
start we had planned to commence this week. We will delay our start for all students (remote and 
in-person) until September 14th. In the meantime, our Technology Department will work on the 
deployment of student devices to support remote learning. A detailed reopening plan will be forthcoming. 
 
● PreK and Kindergarten screening will be delayed until further notice.  
● PreK and Kindergarten school bus orientation will be delayed until further notice. 
● Curbside meal pick-up will be available at all schools on Tuesday, September 8th and Thursday, 
September 10th from 11am-1pm located at the front entrance at each school, please remain in 
your car, nutrition staff will be there to assist you. 
  
Please monitor yourself and your children for signs and symptoms of COVID-19. Call a health care 
provider if you experience symptoms. It is important that you call a healthcare facility before you show 
up in person. Stay home if you are sick.
