How will I introduce South Korea to my friends
The name Korea is derived from Goguryeo, which was one of the great powers in East Asia
during its time, ruling most of the Korean Peninsula, Manchuria, parts of the Russian Far East
and Inner Mongolia under Gwanggaeto the Great. Its capital, Seoul is a major global city and
half of South Korea’s over 51 million people live in the Seoul Capital Area, the fourth largest
metropolitan economy in the world.

Known for its fascinating history, vibrant youth culture, and UNESCO World Heritage sites,
Seoul has been a major political, financial, and cultural hub of South Korea since the 1300s.
Through the years, it has seen a multitude of hardships and victories that have shaped it into
the buzzing metropolis it is today. Here are a few of its most noteworthy moments.

South Korea is also among the world’s most technologically advanced and digitally
connected countries; it has the third most broadband Internet users among the in electronics,
digital displays, semiconductor devices, and mobile phones.

Geologically, South Korea consists in large part of Precambrian rocks (i.e., more than about
540 million years old) such as granite and gneiss. The country is largely mountainous, with
small valleys and narrow coastal plains. Some Top South Korean Foods are:-

 Hoeddeok ( sweet syrupy pancakes )

 Bulgogi (marinated beef barbecue )
 Kimchi (fermented vegetables )
 Ddukbokki (spicy rice cake )

India – South Korea relation have a history of 2,000 years. Formal establishment of
diplomatic ties between the two countries occurred in 1973. Since then, several trade
agreements have been reached: Agreements on Trade Promotion and Economic and
Technological Co-operation in Science & Technology in 1976; Convention on Double
Taxation Avoidance in 1985; and Bilateral Investment Promotion/ Protection Agreement in
1996.

It’s one of the biggest economies in the world. After Chine and Japan, South Korea is the
third biggest in Asia and also the seventh largest exporter in the world, with its top produces
being integrated circuits (including computer, phone and other electronics) and cars.
The industrialization and urbanization of South Korea have brought many changes to the way
modern Koreans life. I will love to share my thoughts with my friend’s.
